A forty-stock dividend portfolio in a tax-advantaged account pays you dividends 3 days per week. You get there by loading your tax-advantaged accounts with high growing dividend payers and then use the high incoming dividends as diversifiers.

1/ I remember when Peloton was trading in the $160s back in December and it was very obvious that the company was going to have a rough time justifying that price in the future. Despite then existing favorable short-term trends, it was still losing $250 million during Covid era.

My guess is they will attempt to treat the unrealized gain/loss like K-1 partnerships do today - mark to market the value at time of sale or at EOY and you either get a deduction or a taxable gain. It won’t be pretty.

This was hard to learn early on.. I wanted to sell to have capital for another business. Punchcard mentality helped me tremendously with this. I wanted to sell a winner, find another rinse and repeat. Wrong approach long term. I’m glad I came around.

With no fee trading now the norm , someone could easily open up a “biotech account “ and do this themselves , 100 may be pushing it for most ppl, but 30-50 could be done over a relative short time frame
