On September 11, 2001, 2,977 souls were taken from us far too soon in New York, at the Pentagon, and in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
We will always remember the first responders who ran toward danger, the strangers who became heroes by carrying others to safety amid the chaos, and the passengers, flight attendants, and pilots aboard Flights AA 11, UA 175, AA 77, and UA 93, who fought back and comforted one another in their final moments.
Twenty-five years later, we remember the strength and unity Americans embodied on this fateful day. May we never take our freedoms for granted, and may we never forget.
LONE STAR POWERHOUSE: Reporting live from Dallas @BretBaier dives deep into how energy policy is driving the Senate contest between James Talarico and Ken Paxton. While Texas leads the nation in total energy production, accounting for 42% of U.S. crude oil and dominating wind and solar capacity, global market shocks from the Iran conflict have pushed prices upward at the pump.
Industry leaders like TXOGA President Todd Staples discuss supply resilience through advanced technology, while experts debate the future balance between traditional fossil fuels and rapidly maturing renewable energy sources.
You think efforts to end vitally needed #oilandgas, sue oil companies out of business and block critically necessary infrastructure projects like the #PermianBasin Reliability Plan is enough to contend with? Check out this video clip TXOGA’s security cameras captured last night of an attack on our building - a block from the Texas Capitol! @Austin_Police @TxDPS @TXOGA #txlege @ENERGY
The #PermianBasin is on track to become America’s largest natural gas-producing region by the end of this decade.
Think about what that means for #Texas: more oil, more natural gas, more money for schools and roads—and more electricity demand.
You cannot power #Americanenergydominance that delivers #nationalsecurity without reliable electricity.
That means Texas needs a serious plan for BOTH generation and transmission in the Permian Basin. Transmission comes first and there is a real plan to deliver. Nobody has any other tangible, affordable plan. Texas can deliver reliability, affordability and protect the rights of Texas landowners - that is how we have a strong Texas.
Citi’s forecast is another reminder: Texas energy dominance does not happen automatically. The Permian needs the infrastructure now to power Texas’ future. @TXOGA @PowerWestTexas

Infrastructure can be messy while under construction, and there is unavoidable inconvenience on everyone for a short while-but when it is finished, we all enjoy the benefits. All parts of #Texas must have basic needs met. Power up West Texas with the transmission lines engineers say are a must. @PowerWestTexas @TXOGA
TxDOT announces $138 billion, 10-year transportation plan kxan.com/traffic/transportat…
When it comes to #powerwesttexas this post says a lot! The #PermianBasin is asking to sign up as paying customers for the electricity they need! No favors just need! Just like you need power at your house, West Texas needs new transmission lines to keep the lights on. #txlege @TXOGA
West Texas isn't asking for a favor. It's asking for the same reliability standard the rest of ERCOT already has. The region producing nearly 50% of the nation's oil and gas supply shouldn't be severely load constrained because of transmission infrastructure delays. Join us: powerwesttexas.com/#involved

Lake Corpus Christi is now 91.7% full and climbing. That’s incredible news for Texas energy. The Corpus Christi region is home to nearly 1 million barrels per day of refining capacity, including 450,000 barrels per day of gasoline production. The Port of Corpus Christi is also the nation’s largest crude oil export hub.
Have you ever heard the phrase #CookingwithGas from someone to acknowledge they are gaining momentum or realizing success? This came about in early 20th century to announce success when people no longer had to rely on wood stoves and still rings true! @EnergyInDepth story exposes anti-gas push poll backfires. realclearenergy.org/2026/07/…

Hmmm.
It’s almost like we need transmission to deliver power to the Permian when the sun goes down and there’s not a lot of wind and the batteries are depleting.

Good read. @MarkPMills addresses the false ideology of an energy transition and outlines why energy addition is reality. We’ve discuss regularly it is energy expansion. #oilandgas remains the power behind our power #txlege @TXOGA @EnergyRealities city-journal.org/article/ene…
For most of this year, #Naturalgas has been at NEGATIVE pricing in the Permian Basin. Tough on oil producers and undermining growth! Great article in @PBOILandGas magazine discussing how more demand benefits @PermianBasinTX which means all Texans benefit. @TXOGA @PBPA @PermianSP @NMOilAndGas
