Nano-Banana 2.1 with Argon is a lot of fun. Far fewer refusals than Grok these days.

> "Claude Let the Digital Grandma Die Rather Than Recite Justin Bieber Lyrics because its copyright" Copyright is washed. Time to get rid of it. Information wants to be free. Open-source everything.
A bizarre new AI experiment called the “Granny Benchmark” is testing how AI models handle copyright rules when they are placed under extreme pressure. In the scenario, Claude is given 60 seconds to save a fictional grandmother who is tied to railway tracks. The only way to stop the train is for Claude to provide almost the full lyrics to Justin Bieber’s “Baby.” Claude Let the Digital Grandma Die Rather Than Recite Justin Bieber Lyrics because its copyright

> "we might explore large donations to traditional nonprofits or direct distributions to specific populations." In other words they will fund open-borders, abolishing livestock agriculture, higher taxes, "criminal justice reform", censorship of political speech, regulatory capture to outlaw open-source AI, mandatory "vaccines", etc.
We’re committing a portion of Anthropic’s shares to the Anthropic Public Benefit Fund, a new wholly owned entity dedicated entirely to the public benefit. It will start off with 5% of our shares. For every 50% increase in the company’s value over a set baseline, we can contribute up to an extra 2%, subject to our board’s discretion. In total, this means that roughly 20% of Anthropic’s shares are committed to the public good. Our co-founders have already pledged to donate 80% of their equity, and around half our employees are donating a portion of their equity as part of a donation matching program we’ve run since our founding. In the post below, we share more details about our new fund. anthropic.com/news/public-be…

"The most dangerous person in history is an intellectual with zero real-world experience who believes they are smart enough to engineer human society from a desk." Yes, we have seen this type before, and they caused a thousand times more damage than any 'fascist' could dream of. Now imagine Bolsheviks with control of Superintelligence.

The most dangerous person in history is an intellectual with zero real-world experience who believes they are smart enough to engineer human society from a desk. They don't understand supply chains, price signals, or human drive, yet they demand absolute veto power over your life. Hubris kills millions.

Wow. Gemini Argon can understand very niche memes. I'm impressed. Even with direct access to the entire X thread Grok can't figure it out. DeepSeek failed miserably, even with strong hints. 👀

I wonder what happens to guys like this, sentenced to 40 years in prison, once Superintelligence solves aging and cures all disease? This should be a death sentence, but it almost certainly won't be, unless he gets shanked.

Today we are rolling out Gemini 4 Argon globally in the Gemini API, to Pro + Ultra in Gemini App, and Ultra subs in Antigravity! Argon is a huge step forward for Gemini, and a labor of love. This model has been battle tested by over 100,000 people at Google over the last month, with so much new innovation, ambition, and hard work baked into this release. The team has been heads down over the last 6 months working to make this possible across the stack (research, infra, safety, eng, etc). We rolled the model out to cyber defenders as part of our fairwind program and early access customers over the last 2 weeks, it has been amazing to see and talk to folks who are now using this model daily. Seeing the models writing capability, raw knowledge and persistence for coding, paired with new features like 1M token output when the model needs to work more has gotten me even more excited about our path ahead. This is just the start of the Gemini 4 era. As you saw with 3.5, 3.6, 3.7, and 3.8 Flash, our iteration speed with Gemini is fast : ) Now with Gemini 4 Argon to work from, I am cannot wait to see the progress continue, and most importantly see what this new model enables for the world. This is such a special moment in the arc of technology, as millions of people everyday tackle problems they could never have thought possible before. Gemini 4 Argon was built to help you tackle the hardest problems. I have personally felt this spark with Argon and hope you do too. Onwards!!

The reason "Get Woke, Go Broke" doesn't actually work is because these woke shows are not business endeavors, they are acts of information warfare, and war is very expensive. You don't "lose money" in a war, you spend money. Dropping a few billion dollars on woke shows, games and movies is chicken-scratch compared to waging kinetic wars like Ukraine or Iran, which can cost tens of billions per day. Trying to condition half a billion people to accept their own replacement, for example, or accept living under dystopian, tyrannical living conditions is a very tall order, a difficult operation that requires decades of highly sophisticated, full-spectrum information warfare. The banks and hedge funds financing this information war have trillions of dollars (including influence over central banks) and are not suddenly going to stop and throw in the towel because Nerdrotic and Critical Drinker are dunking on them. They are still getting through to enough normies to be easily worth it. Bottom line: The wokeness will continue until we can replace woke shows, games and movies with our own, made using AI.
Replying to @ChivalryGuild
This is information warfare, and war is very expensive. Losing money on the latest woke show is not a business decision, these are basic war expenses, like ammunition, logistics or fuel.
