We win when we, the people, come together. Today’s Court order to halt construction and other works inside Nairobi National Park is an affirmation that the People’s Power is superior to the people in power. I celebrate and salute all those who braved tear gas, defied unlawful arrests, and stared down the rogue regime to protect the Park. Your courage is the bedrock of our democracy. The fight is not over. But we must celebrate every victory as we prepare to fight tomorrow for our sovereignty, for our heritage.

POWER TO THE PEOPLE! ✊🏾💚 I congratulate @FoNNaPKenya, @justact_kenya, @GreenBeltMovmnt , and the 4,642 patriotic environmental champions who stood up against state-backed ecocide. They have secured a 4-month court halt against the commercial destruction of Nairobi National Park. This is a monumental triumph of constitutionalism over executive lawlessness. Our constitution is clear: Article 42 guarantees every Kenyan the right to a clean and healthy environment, while Article 69 imposes a mandatory obligation on the State to eliminate activities likely to endanger the environment. When the Ruto regime treats these sacred provisions as optional suggestions, it is the citizens who must enforce the law. I celebrate and salute the brave young Kenyans who braved tear gas, defied unlawful arrests, and stared down rogue police forces just to deliver a public petition to Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) and plant trees. Your courage is the bedrock of our democracy. To the @KWSKenya Board and management: decouple yourselves from state capture. Stop pandering to the narrow, temporal whims of a corrupt executive and return to absolute fidelity to the Constitution. The hypocrisy of this regime is staggering. William Ruto poses globally as Africa’s premier climate champion—spending a staggering 1.45 billion shillings on climate-related trips — while simultaneously desertifying Kenya, destroying our forests, and encroaching on the globally unique Nairobi National Park for speculative commercial infrastructure. You cannot preach emission reductions in New York while overseeing the decimation of critical carbon sinks in Nairobi. Nairobi National Park is not empty land waiting for a parking lot or a concrete conference hall. It is part of our critical national infrastructure. Beyond drawing global tourism, it is the literal lungs of our capital, providing essential air purification, micro-climate regulation, flood mitigation, and water catchment management for millions of citizens. As the first former Chief Justice to run for President, and as your Green Candidate in this election, I promise you that my administration will never trade our ecological heritage for short-term political gimmicks. My presidency will usher in a clean break from this toxic status quo, focusing on two foundational pillars: resetting to Ukatiba (constitutionalism) and restoring Utu (human dignity) through deep reforms, including of our National Police Service. I will not relent. Our alternative agenda will Green Leap Kenya into the sustainability capital through a comprehensive Ecosystem Restoration Programme designed to transform our economy:- • Green Job Creation: By shifting investments into a just transition, ecosystem restoration, and sustainable forestry, we will generate millions of new, dignified green jobs within 5 years for our disenfranchised, unemployed youths. • Agro-Ecological Revolution: We will completely overhaul our agricultural sector through climate-resilient, organic farming methods and localized value chains to guarantee absolute food sovereignty. • Clean Energy Unlocked: We will halt and reject fossil fuel traps like the Lamu oil refinery project. Instead, we will aggressively unlock Kenya's massive 290,000 MW clean energy potential across geothermal, solar, wind, and green hydrogen. We will position Kenya as the true climate capital of the world, leveraging our unique status as the proud host of the @UNEP, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP). To all Kenyans: do not relent. Let this victory remind you that all sovereign power belongs to you. Organize local, citizen-led actions in your communities. We have won this battle, but the war to protect our future continues. Today we celebrate, tomorrow we protect our future. God bless you, and God bless Kenya. Support the fight: savennp.org #NationalParkNotCarPark #SaveNNP #MaragaGreenLeap #Ukatib

🇰🇪POWER TO THE PEOPLE! ✊🏾💚 👏Huge congratulations to @justact_kenya ,@FoNNaPKenya and the 4,642 patriotic citizens who have successfully secured a 4-month court halt against the commercial hiving off of Nairobi National Park! 💪This is a massive victory for citizen-led action over state-backed environmental destruction. 🇰🇪We extend our deepest gratitude to every single Kenyan who stood up to be counted. Thank you to the thousands who signed the online petition, and an immense thank you to the brave souls who marched, resisted, and were even arrested on the front lines—including Chief Justice Emeritus David Maraga (@dkmaraga)—proving that defending our land is a duty that knows no rank. 🥷The Ruto regime has effectively declared a war against nature, overseeing the aggressive decimation of our trees and vital forests across the country. But today proves that ordinary people are not powerless. 💚As Greens, we will not relent. We will continue to support, fuel, and stand with citizen-led resistance against any regime that puts extractive profit over our planet. 💪This fight is far from over. Today we celebrate, tomorrow we organize. 🌍Protect the wild: savennp.org #NationalParkNotCarPark #SaveNNP #GreenResistance #PeoplePower

The People’s Coalition on Electoral Reforms has declared a state of absolute national electoral integrity vigilance for the next 288 days, since the country is sleepwalking to a catastrophic rigging of the August 2027 General Election. Former Chief Justice David Maraga accused the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) of acting as an unaccountable rogue procurement cartel and Parliament of betraying the public trust bestowed upon them by the People of Kenya due to narrow executive subservience for the benefit of President William Ruto. standardmedia.co.ke/politics…

On livestreaming Bunge only needs a one-line amendment as follows: "IEBC shall, for verifiability, transparency, and to facilitate public information, establish a mechanism for the live-streaming of results as announced at each polling station." Yes, it is that simple!

When we see how efficient others can be in conducting their elections, we need to ask ourselves serious questions! Brazil can count 120 million votes in one evening, but it takes us days to count less than 22 million? The problem is not the arithmetic...
Every time I live through yet another Brazilian election I can’t but marvel at an electoral system that can count 120 million votes in a single evening. Take a bow, Brazil

Under William Ruto's government, trees in all our forests have suddenly matured and need harvesting
CLARIFICATION ON FOREST PLANTATION HARVESTING IN NGONG HILLS FOREST The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has noted video clips and photographs circulating on social media alleging illegal logging in Ngong Hills Forest, with claims that the activities are being carried out at night. The Service wishes to clarify the circumstances surrounding the ongoing forest plantation harvesting operations. Harvesting of mature forest plantations in the Kibiku Forest Block of Ngong Hills Forest is being undertaken following a competitive bidding process and the subsequent award of a tender for the harvesting of 56 hectares of mature plantations, in accordance with the Public Procurement and Asset Disposal Act 2015, the Forest Conservation and Management Act 2026 (FCMA 2026), the Constitution of Kenya 2010 and forest harvesting rules (2016). Furthermore, forest operations are required to be conducted between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., as stipulated under the FCMA 2026. Upon completion of the harvesting process, the Community Forest Association is normally engaged to replant more trees through the Plantation Enterprise and Livelihood Improvement Scheme (PELIS). Regarding the photograph circulating on social media showing a trailer loaded with logs, the Service has received information that the vehicle had broken down and was undergoing repairs. KFS is verifying the circumstances surrounding the incident. The photograph alone does not establish that harvesting activities were taking place at night. The Service urges members of the public to seek clarification from the nearest KFS station on any concerns regarding forest management and harvesting activities. KFS urges the public to rely on verified information when commenting on the matter and to report all suspicious activities to the nearest police station for investigations or email [email protected]

1. I will answer on behalf of the Maraga-Led People's Coalition on Electoral Reforms @Reforms_Ke. Court of Appeal has in 2 seperate cases in 2017 & 2018 (Maina Kiai v IEBC & Katiba Institute v NA) held various Sub-Sections of S.39 UNCONSTITUTIONAL. Most were amendments in 2017.
