Not too long ago people were arguing over if Ghidorah's wings should be formed of his forelimbs or ribs... this kinda implies they are neural spines

I'll never understand the large amount of YouTubers and reviewers who constantly feel the need to open their reviews with millennial snark, prefacing their reviews by dunking on the suit acting era of movies.
It was still just as much art made by talented artists as the thing they're setting up to praise as making Godzilla movies not embarrassing to say you like anymore, apparently. I don't know why to praise what the people working on Minus movies were able to do with such a small budget, they have to put down the older artists work.

Democrats will now control the House and Senate and be able to hold Trump accountable. That's great.
At a time of massive income and wealth inequality, we must do more. We must aggressively fight for working families.
No more excuses.
with the amount of work and finesse Boban Filipović (Acheroraptor sculpture) puts into his sculpts, he should be more widely recognized as a stellar Paleoartist. A treasure trove of references, and study
I did these sketches while watching the new Brian Engh video, but worth nothing these are not meant to be "Engh-style" tyrannosaurs, they are still very much my style tyrannosaurs
The way it like zeroes in on the water as it walks past then hesitates and thinks about it for a sec before stepping through the wall is soooo so good. The animal behavior and animation in the first 2 movies is unmatched

Here’s our recently announced little cutie for #FossilFriday: the new Hell Creek caenagnathid Infernogallus jamesi. Come check it out at @ROMtoronto.
Just quietly, I have for a long time suspected that ornithomimosaurs, oviraptorosaurs and therizinosaurs, cretaceous groups whose diets have been a bit of a mystery, were probably preferential browsers of angiosperms specifically, which they evolved alongside
Did dinosaurs eat fruit?
Debatable, as plants with fruits and flowers evolved late in the Age of Dinosaurs.
Now say hello to Infernogallus, an oviraptor with a parrot beak, perfect for munching on Cretaceous fruit salads!

Every cradle of civilization based its existence on modified grass. Corn, wheat, rice, emmer, barley, oats, all grass. Grass didn't exist until the late Cretaceous and didn't spread until the Oligocene, 30 mya. The Great Filter is grass.
Nice plant paleoart!

Film culture escaping IMDB's boomer/gen x tyranny and being given a new place for younger people to consolidate around has opened up an entire generation to different kinds of movies and if the cost is being forced to see teenagers posting annoying reviews it's a fair tradeoff
Replying to @staticbluebat
people who are too young to remember a world before letterboxd really don't understand. it's been the most significant positive force for cinephilia of the century. for all its faults, it has completely changed film culture for the better

I think Letterboxd is a convenient way to track what I've watched and see what my friends are watching
