Sales are of products customers in the general public directly order because they want to buy those products 3. Pointed out that Mint uses no direct taxpayer funding to operate 4. Pointed out that Mint operates like a company and has to keep costs lower than revenue 5. That Mint turns its profits over to pay down a little of the national debt, and, the most important point of all: 5. Mint is not BEP. Most Americans have no idea Mint doesn’t print money (currency notes). They think Mint does. Significant set up to avoid public misunderstanding would have prevented a lot of anticipatable “X comment retardia”.
