Today, alongside @KCCAUG, we engaged and inspired approximately 150 PLE candidates at East Kololo and Shimoni Demonstration Primary Schools. We also distributed mathematical sets to support their exam preparation. Led by our CEO, @EugineMutekhele, and Director, Shaherose Jamal, the initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to education and sustainable community impact. Our leadership team encouraged the learners to believe in their abilities, work hard and see education as a foundation for achieving their future ambition.

A number of issues have been raised under this post, and I would like to respond to them. Firstly, thank you for the feedback, Kampala people. As one of you rightly put it, infrastructure, order and cleanliness are returning. We are encouraged by this recognition, Mr @AmanyaAloyo, and we acknowledge that there is still more work to do. Please note that Binaisa Road is already being rehabilitated, with drainage works currently underway. To those pointing out the endless political pictures around the city and other unnecessary paper adverts on poles and structures, we hear you. We will continue enforcing the applicable regulations on unauthorised posters and advertising to protect Kampala’s public spaces and maintain a clean urban environment. ( @isaac_muganza1 ) On the concern that the directive requiring commercial property owners to pave their forecourts appears to have quietly faded away, we recognise the importance of sustained enforcement and follow-through. We will continue engaging property owners and monitoring compliance to improve pedestrian access, safety and the overall appearance of our streets. ( @AndrewAgaba9) To those raising concerns about boda bodas riding on one-way roads and failing to follow traffic signals, road safety remains a priority. We will continue working closely with the Traffic Police and other stakeholders to promote discipline on our roads and address dangerous riding practices. In addition, we are in the final stages of operationalising the Kampala Capital City Public Transport Ordinance, which will strengthen regulation of the sector. (@rbagaba , @TheMatundaMan ) And to everyone saying, “This is the Kampala we love to see. Clean, organised and moving forward!” thank you. We remain committed to strengthening road infrastructure, drainage systems, waste management, street lighting and public space management to make that vision a lasting reality.

Today, as the Head of Programs @kakebetechcamp , I had a fruitful engagement with @ElmaKapelChalla , the Youth Member of Parliament Northern Region in preparation for the #KakebeTechCamp2026. Given that this year's camp will be hosted in Northern Region (Kitgum), our engagement focused on guidance and support towards the successful execution of the camp. Our discussion focused on aligning the camp with the aspirations and needs of young people in the region. @ElmaKapelChalla pledged her support in the following areas: 1.Guidance and Leadership:To provide strategic guidance to ensure the camp is a success in the Northern Region. 2.Advocacy and Mobilization: To lobby for support and mobilize stakeholders. 3. Direct Sponsorship: To sponsor 20 young people to participate in the Kakebe Tech Camp. As @kakebetechcamp ,we extend our sincere gratitude to @ElmaKapelChalla for her unwavering commitment to youth empowerment and for always listening to the young people. 📽️ Davis Musanganya, the survivor of the River Nyamwamba drowning incident in Kasese District, had reportedly left school without permission to participate in a football tournament in Kasese town. While returning, he and his friend, Innocent Owomugisha, 17, attempted to cross River Nyamwamba despite the rising water levels. Owomugisha, a Senior Four student at Kilembe Secondary School, drowned in the incident, while Musanganya survived. I just wanted to remind you that in the year of our Lord 2002 Justice Frederick Egonda- Ntende nullified Amama Mbabazi's 2001 parliamentary election. He confirmed there was widespread electoral malpractices like voter bribery, intimidation by security forces and illegal use of public resources. Amama appealed the decision and the court of appeal dismissed his petition. I want you to think about the kind of judges Uganda had 20 years ago, and the kind we have now.
