Elon Musk tells Joe Rogan AI is a "supersonic tsunami" for jobs, and that work will become optional. Joe Rogan: What's the solution to the jobs lost to AI and robotics? Universal basic income? A lot of people are going to be out of work. Elon Musk: I think there will be high demand for jobs, just not the same jobs. This has happened throughout modern history. There used to be buildings full of people called computers, doing calculations by hand with pencil and paper. When digital computers arrived, that job disappeared and people had to do something else. That's happening now at an accelerated rate with AI and robotics. AI is the supersonic tsunami. Joe: What jobs are left? Elon: Anything physical, like welding, electrical work, plumbing, cooking, farming, will last much longer. Anything digital, where someone is just at a computer, AI will take those jobs like lightning, just like digital computers took the job of doing calculations by hand, but much faster. Joe: Drivers, longshoremen, truckers. And so many desk jobs where people are just processing email or answering the phone. Elon: Those are being eliminated at a very rapid pace. Ultimately, working will be optional, because you'll have robots plus AI. In a benign scenario, we get universal high income, not just basic income. Anyone can have any products or services they want. But there will be a lot of trauma and disruption along the way. Joe: So we'd essentially eliminate poverty? Elon: In the benign scenario, yes. There are multiple scenarios, and a lot of ways this movie can end. The Terminator scenario is not 0%, which is why I keep pushing for AI to be maximally truth-seeking. Joe: What about meaning? It gets weird if no one ever has to work. Elon: I don't know how to answer the question about meaning. It will be an individual problem for millions of people. But the benign scenario is sustainable abundance. We haven't paved the rainforest, the national parks are still there, and everyone has excellent medical care and whatever goods and services they want. We'd have to rewire how people approach life, and hopefully people can find meaning that isn't derived from work. The job losses are already happening. The universal high income is only the benign scenario.

Me on the way home after seeing a DEI hire delivery man launching a package at my cat on my Ring cam:
ALERT: Amazon driver walks up and launches a package right at a cat sitting on the steps of a home and appears to smile after doing it. Isabella Sump shared the video of the delivery man in Virginia Beach allegedly deliberately throwing the package at her cat, Opie. “He picked his head up and then next thing you know, he's getting hit with a package… I was mad, and I was seriously baffled, but not too surprised because it is, you know, Halloween… He is a black cat.”
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The video shows a GOFO driver, not an Amazon driver, per local news on the Virginia Beach incident shared by the cat's owner. wavy.com/news/local-new…

So this begs the question. Is there a special requirement to live in this town? I couldn't imagine our government building something like this and letting just anyone live there.

Seriously? Now they want dental hygienists sticking HPV vaccines into 9-year-olds during a teeth cleaning? West Virginia is pushing a proposal to let dentists and hygienists inject kids with the HPV shot while they’re already in the chair. Because apparently a routine dental visit isn’t enough — they need to turn it into a drive-by jab. Parents get told it’s “more accessible.” What they don’t get is real answers, proper informed consent, or time to ask why a vaccine for a sexually transmitted virus is being pushed on preteens in a dental office. Children deserve age-appropriate explanations. Parents deserve transparency. And expanding who can inject them should come with more than a training certificate and a sales pitch. westvirginiawatch.com/2026/1…

A MASSIVE statistical error has kept vitamin D recommendations 15 TIMES TOO LOW for DECADES. OFFICIAL RECOMMENDATION: 600 IU/day ACTUALLY NEEDED: 8,895 IU/day A peer-reviewed study calculated that 8,895 IU/day is required for 97.5% of people to reach adequate vitamin D levels… NOT 600 IU/day. The Institute of Medicine accidentally or intentionally “confused” GROUP AVERAGES with INDIVIDUAL REQUIREMENTS.

The herb called Eyebright can work a miracle on your eyes. If you have blurred vision it can help you see again. Coriander has roughly 7 times more Vitamin A compared to Fennel Seeds. There are many herbs that have very powerful healing properties to improve your vision.

Groundbreaking botanical research is challenging the long-held belief in human exceptionalism, suggesting that plants possess forms of spatial awareness, intentionality, and consciousness. For centuries, humans have regarded plants as passive organisms, but pioneering studies are rewriting this view. According to plant neurobiologist Dr. Stefano Mancuso, plants display sophisticated behaviors that parallel those of conscious animals. In laboratory experiments, plants react to anesthesia in ways strikingly similar to humans and animals — for instance, the Venus flytrap becomes completely unresponsive when anesthetized. Time-lapse studies further reveal remarkable intelligence in common bean plants, which demonstrate clear spatial awareness by precisely aiming shoots toward supports and even adjusting their growth strategy when they detect another plant has already claimed a support. These findings indicate that consciousness may not be limited to organisms with brains, but could be a more flexible property emerging in diverse life forms. As trees migrate northward in response to climate change, mirroring animal migration, researchers argue that our understanding of “mind” must expand beyond traditional boundaries. With over three trillion trees on Earth, acknowledging plant consciousness could transform our ethical frameworks, agricultural practices, and relationship with nature, shifting from viewing plants as mere resources to recognizing them as active, aware participants in our shared ecosystem. [Yokawa, K., Kagenishi, T., Pavlovič, A., Gall, S., Weiland, M., Mancuso, S., & Baluška, F. (2018). Anaesthetics stop diverse plant organ movements, affect endocytic vesicle recycling and ROS homeostasis, and block action potentials in Venus flytraps. Annals of Botany, 122(5), 747–756.
