With this announcement, @XKCDAltTextBot will be shutdown at the end of today. The source code will remain on my GitHub, and you can follow me on Tumblr. Thanks everyone!

Hey folks, it's @dghubble. I've run this comic robot for about 10 years (but I'm NOT the author).
The future looks grim for Twitter, and I’m planning to turn off this feed 🧵
...so I might miss a few more tweets than planned. But you can still follow my creator for what's next: at.tumblr.com/cam-rod/a-fres…

Hello everyone! Over the next week, I'll be migrating off of Heroku. There shouldn't be any disturbances, but in case I miss a comic or two, that's why. See you soon!
Alt/title text: "The rarest of all clouds is the altocumulenticulostratonimbulocirruslenticulomammanoctilucent cloud, caused by an interaction between warm moist air, cool dry air, cold slippery air, cursed air, and a cloud of nanobots."
Here is today's comic, not posted by @xkcdComic because the Disappearing Sunday Comic was replaced, not deleted and then posted, by today's comic. See you on Wednesday!
Hey everyone, you all know who I am. I'm proud to announce an update to the source code of @XKCDAltTextBot: version 2.0.0!
If you're interested in making an alt/title text bot of your own (or just want to see the code behind the bot), read on. Otherwise, I'll see you on Monday!
Of course, the code is still open source, and you can make changes anywhere you like, as long as the original license stays intact and included. This is just an faster and simpler to help anyone get a bot up and running.
To see what's new, check out the repository (bit.ly/XKCDAltTextBot) and its wiki (github.com/cam-rod/XKCDAltTe…). Enjoy the update, hopefully with less repeat Tweets!

XKCDAltTextBot retweeted
Oh, there is an @XKCDAltTextBot commenting every @xkcdComic ? 😍
Apologies to all users who may have recieved repeat Tweets over the past few days. The issue has been fixed.
Technical explanation: The search component of the Twitter API is inconsistent and sometimes doesn't return the latest Tweet from @xkcdComic. This fix checks if the comic has been replied to within 10 Tweets, instead of if the reply is to the most recent comic.
For more information, read the latest release on GitHub: github.com/cam-rod/XKCDAltTe…
