Few people will realize this until it's too late. I've experienced first hand the hollowing out of my brain by LLM use. Use. Your. Own. Brain. Do things by hand or by reading yourself. Thank me later.
ChatGPT has now a big problem. Researchers at Oxford exposed a massive threat to large language models.” It’s called "Model Collapse." And it explains why the internet is about to become a toxic waste dump for Large Language Models. Right now, AI companies are scraping the entire web to train their next-generation models. But there’s a massive problem. The internet is no longer just human data. It is rapidly filling up with AI-generated text, images, and code. What happens when an AI trains on data generated by another AI? A new paper in Nature just gave us the answer. And it is terrifying. When AI models are recursively trained on AI-generated data, they suffer from irreversible brain damage. The researchers found that the model starts forgetting the "tails" of the original data distribution. The rare, weird, unique, and complex human nuances completely disappear. It's like making a photocopy of a photocopy. Every generation loses resolution. The output gets flatter, blander, and more generic, until the model completely collapses in on itself. For years, we thought the biggest bottleneck for AI was compute, getting enough H100 GPUs from Nvidia. This paper proves the real bottleneck is us. If we keep flooding the internet with synthetic AI slop, we will poison the very data pool required to build smarter models. The ultimate irony? We thought AI was going to make human creators obsolete. Instead, this research proves that verified, genuine human data is about to become the most valuable commodity in the tech industry.

6.2% inflation is the Bank of England's worst case if the Middle East escalates. Mortgage holders, savers and anyone on a fixed salary: that's you.
JUST IN: 🇬🇧 Bank of England warns UK inflation could rise to 6.2% if Middle East conflict escalates.

It's one of the biggest contradictions in maternity care. We tell pregnant women to avoid lying flat because of aortocaval compression and reduced blood flow, yet routinely place labouring women on their backs for extended periods. The physiology doesn't magically change because you're in a hospital bed. Suddenly it becomes less about what's physiologically best for the mother and more about what's convenient for the provider who's controlling the birth.
Why do they say for pregnant women to avoid lying in their back but then during labor they may keep you in that position for ages?

At this point it feels like prices in The UK are just made up: What do you mean a return train to London is £140? How is a weekend away in England £600? I can go abroad for a week for that! Why is a house that was £600 a month a few years ago now £1200 a month? Why is my car insurance going up every year on the same car, no points, no claims? How is 2 carrier bags of shopping costing me nearly £70? We're honestly done aren't we

I will take this opportunity to remind you of the importance of delayed cord clamping at birth: allowing more placental blood to reach your baby, delivering valuable stem cells before the cord is clamped.
Elon says longevity is coming. I'm not waiting for it. Last month in Seoul, I got 100 million stem cells from a baby's umbilical cord. 10 million in my knee, 10 million in my face, 10 million in my scalp. The other 70 million went straight into my veins. That's just one part of it: Face: Rejuran injections, Ulthera, and Thermage with 900 shots in Korea Peptides: Retatrutide, GHK-Cu, Ipamorelin, CJC-1295 Mind: microdosing psilocybin, plus psilocybin therapy Daily: Mediterranean diet, lots of raw fish, training and travel I've invested in 800+ companies. The best long-term investment I've ever made is my own body. My experience, not a recommendation. What's one thing you're doing to live longer?

there’s an actual epidemic in the UK of older people having absolutely terrible mouth hygiene and radiating the awful smell of their breath and it doesn’t get talked about enough. Just had to move seats on a train cause I could smell the guy behind me.

Why have we made fridges that can be hacked?
🚨 NEW: Britain is on alert to protect Tesco and Sainsbury's fridges amid cyber attacks on similar fridges across Europe Hackers are remotely accessing them and turning temperatures up to as high as 80C

FYI: In the next couple weeks virtually every AI service will have a built in invisible watermark in text that will flag anything as AI generated no matters the way in which you use it. What this means is that if you use AI to even check for spelling errors or grammar your entire document will be flagged as AI and invalidated. This is going to create a whole heap of problems for people as we enter the Salem Witch Trials of AI accusations. As of now we believe ChatGPT in the US is still cuck free but pretty much all of the AI companies in Europe are cooked. Maybe someone in the comments can provide the exact list.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
OpenAI watermarks ChatGPT text only in the EU; Anthropic marks newer Claude models worldwide; Gemini has used SynthID since 2024. The marks are only in AI-written text, weaken with editing, and detector access is restricted. tech.yahoo.com/ai/chatgpt/art… techcrunch.com/2026/08/11/ant…

In 2015, the UK introduced the 5p charge for plastic carrier bags. Minimum wage was £6.70 an hour, meaning you could buy 134 bags with an hour's work. Fast forward to 2026. Minimum wage has increased to £12.71, but carrier bags now cost around 40p each. That same hour of work now gets you just 31 bags. So the price of carrier bags has gone up 700%, while wages have only increased by 89%. If minimum wage had kept up with the price of plastic bags, we'd now be earning £53.60 an hour. Even plastic carrier bags are outperforming wages in this country. We're getting robbed.

My dad who recently passed from cancer was a fairly frequent chatgpt user and this is the exact kind of stuff I was terrified of finding when I checked his phone after he passed. What an insane nightmare

One of the most heartbreaking thing I’ve read. Rest in peace beautiful girl
Heartbreaking story of a Chinese immigrant engineer, who, after getting laid off from Amazon, reduced epilepsy medication on ChatGPT’s advice so she could perform better at job interviews and apply for a green card. She died because of all these. nytimes.com/2026/10/27/well/…
