If only parents would just LOOK in their child's school books and online toolkits - it could change everything.
What are they afraid of?

Parents should note that topics such as Wellbeing/Gender Ideology, Racial Justice/Multi-culturalism, Climate change/Sustainable Development and Global Citizenship Education are all taught on a "Whole School" or "Whole Education" approach - every class, every subject, every school activity.

The curriculum at all age levels have been contaminated with a combination of Neo-Marxist Social Justice (Woke) ideology and United Nations propaganda.
And when you're being indoctrinated in this stuff, you're not learning what you should be learning.
Why so-called "centrist" parties such as Fine Gael and Fianna Fail are happy with this is beyond me.
The Soc Dems, Labour, PBP, Greens and Sinn Fein must be thrilled - an entire next generation of voters to bring them into power. Great job FF/FG.

‘The UN Sustainable Development Goals are our Roadmap’ - Micheál Martin
Who can argue with the fact that, after a decade of following this so-called ‘roadmap’, Ireland has been led down a very dark path indeed.
It is time to break free from the constraints of outdated thinking, reclaim our national ambition and embrace a bold new vision for Ireland’s future.
This is just a fraction of the DCU network that have been given influence. Look into the co-authors on those literature reviews, particularly those associated with DCU's Centre for Human Rights and Citizenship Education. Check whether co-opted members of NCCA development groups are affiliated with DCU. See the connections between them - co-authorship, projects, conferences etc. Look at their reseach interests and you will see that most specialise in teaching their subjects through the lens of critical theory, rather than being experts in the subjects themselves.
"Social justice" education sounds like an unquestionable good, but whether it is or not depends on how the term is defined. Judging by the theories and concepts the NCCA is relying on in curriculum development, its definition is woke. This is what is destroying education and dividing society.

Barry has published extensively on how the teaching of history can be used to advance social justice and sustainability agendas, and to develop students as "global citizens".
Reforms to the history curriculum have altered the purpose of teaching history. This has also happened at the Primary level, and again, has coincided with involvement of academics from the same interconnected circle within DCU.

Since the new Leaving Cert History curriculum is topical, it's worth stating these changes have not happened in isolation and they are not accidental. Last year the Primary History curriculum was redeveloped and followed the same trend. There is a larger purpose for framing history the way the new curriculum does. See below and in comments:

The Lit Review cites Bryan's published scholarship 21 times. It cites Kavanagh's own unpublished Doctoral thesis 69 times, within which she cites Bryan's work 92 times. Bryan's work has had a clear, indirect influence on the curriculum.
The Lit Review uses Bryan's critique of the NCCAs earlier 2005/2006 IE guidelines to justify the direction of the new school guidance: the old guidelines paid "insufficient attention to the systemic and structural dimensions of racism".
As a result, we have ended up with an emphasis on American critical multicultural education, critical race theory, and culturally responsive teaching in the review's recommendations.

🚨 "I AM AN ADULT, NOT A CHILD": HOME CARE SYSTEM FAILS WICKLOW DISABILITY ADVOCATE
A alarming case out of Greystones, Co. Wicklow is laying bare the severe systemic flaws within Ireland’s home support sector.
Dr. Margaret Kennedy a 73-year-old disability rights advocate, protection expert, and wheelchair user living with Parkinson’s and a rare neuromuscular degenerative disease, faces the withdrawal of her evening home care services. The reason? She declined a proposed HSE shift to a two-carer routine at 7:00 PM, choosing instead to maintain her established 11:00 PM routine with a single trusted carer.
The reality of the current offer means being put to bed before dusk:
"I am made ready for bed at 7:00pm. I am an adult, not a child... My life has no meaning under a system like this."
Alongside her twin sister Ann, Dr. Kennedy has experienced routine service failures: unannounced missed visits leaving her stranded for hours, rapid staff turnover, and the burden of repeatedly training new staff on basic routines.
Michael O’Dowd, co-founder of the disability rights group Cothrom, has labeled the situation "shocking and deeply distressing." Cothrom has formally requested an urgent meeting with HSE National Director Joe Ryan.
As Mr. O'Dowd emphasized, this isn't just a dispute over care hours—it is a fundamental battle for human dignity, personal autonomy, and the right to live independently.

I highly recommend following K.
She writes in incredible detail about the rapid changes to the education curriculum.
We all need to focus more on those in charge of education system
DCU is has been infested by powerful ideological academics.
This Govt commissioned report:
Page 11: Schools should address hard-right populist “White victim” narratives.
Page 30: Pupils should explore Irish identity “beyond white, settled, Catholic”.
Page 85: Describes an “activist-oriented level of curriculum reform” aimed at social change.
Page 123: Cites kindergarten research suggesting young children need support to “engage in activism against injustices”.
Page 132: Defines anti-racism education partly through confronting “white supremacy in education”.
There is a HUGE difference between teaching children to respect others and using classrooms to promote political ideology.

Project Ireland 2040 is the clearest evidence yet that the Irish government is happy to let an external governance blueprint dictate how Ireland is run.
The National Planning Framework (NPF) follows that same international governance framework. This ensures that the NPF effectively shackles the planning system to deliver on the UN's SDGs as priority.
Part Two of this four part series focuses on the common globalist language used in Project Ireland 2040.

Sadly the NGOs are symptomatic of a deeper structural pathology in the policy making apparatus, namely the silent shift away from representative democracy to a technocratic ‘stakeholder’ system which prioritizes the interests of partner ‘stakeholders’ ahead of those of the public, to the point of exclusion. Take away the funding for these NGOs and the relevant department will instead employ consultancies to carry out its dirty work. To properly address ‘wokeness’ requires pulling it up by the roots starting with recognizing the people as the primary stakeholders in Irish society. This means, in particular, formally abandoning the SDGs. Ireland’s 80% adoption score illustrates how their utopian promises have served as a superficial gloss, hiding a far more consequential transformation happening beneath the surface: an architectural realignment of institutional decision-making which redirects priorities away from the public interest and towards closed institutional technocratic objectives. Ireland’s public sector has never quite recovered from the flattery of having played an integral role in the formulation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It is time to set aside the institutional vanity surrounding this misadventure, which continues to blind policymakers, most notably senior public servants and legislators to its consequences on the ground. In 2019, the SDGs were effectively commandeered by the World Economic Forum, the wealthy elitist business organisation behind Davos, but there wasn’t a word from the Irish when the alarm was raised by no less than four hundred civil society groups from around the world, some of whom were supporters of sustainable development. This behaviour of ‘not listening’ goes hand in hand with the closed stakeholder model and we see it today in how policy formulation pays only lip service to parental consultation and how widespread concerns over appropriate classroom content is summarily shrugged off by the minister. Our children are the collateral damage in bureaucratic social engineering experiment which needs to be halted. It’s time to Bí Cróga and to STOP it, before what is already a slow-motion train wreck turns into an intergenerational pile-up, at the hands of a small number of unaccountable, yet influential, technocrats.

Some general guidance when you see new "subjects" or themes described as follows:
Education for <something>
Examples:
Education for Sustainable Development (ESD)
Education for Social Justice (ESJ)
Education for Climate Justice
Education for Racial Justice
<something> Education
Examples:
Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)
Social and Personal Health Education (SPHE)
Global Citizenship Education (GCED)
Intercultural Education
Apart from Physical Education, such subjects will generally sit in the category of indoctrination rather than education. Education for something, and that something is a politically inspired indoctrinating narrative of some kind, be it related to sexuality, gender, race, multi-culturalism, climate change, sustainable development etc.
They should just be honest and call them what are:
Indoctrination for Sustainable Development
Global Citizenship Indoctrination etc.
Traditional subjects - the boring stuff, are just called what they are, English, Irish, Mathematics, Geography etc. not Education for Mathematics, Education for Geography etc.
The same applies in university where we see subjects framed in a similar fashion:
<something> Studies
Examples:
Gender Studies
Womens Studies
Black Womens Studies
Queer Studies
Fat Studies
etc.
Add your favourite "Studies" program in the comments.
The rest of us studied commerce, economics, engineering, medicine, science etc.
Our education system at all levels has been taken over by radicals who seek to remake our society. In order to do so, they must first destroy it through using education as weapon. And they're doing an excellent job of it.
