If you were molested as a kid go ahead and hit that unfollow. Don’t want that negativity near me
All the Left's seeming contradictions make sense when you realise their game is simply to take advantage of the people willing to buy their grievance claims. It's just a big old scam. American blacks are scared of Arabs because Arabs are actually racist.
Dave is the midwit's idea of a smart person. He agrees to things that negate his argument without changing his argument . He cherry picks data. He plays captain hindsight while unaware hindsight isn't actually 20/20 since he doesn't know what the counterfactual would lead to.
I actually wanted to write a post about how tired I am of seeing COMIC Dave Smith being invited onto all these different podcasts and shows when he so clearly suffers from intellectual ineptitude.
I genuinely struggle to understand why someone who repeatedly demonstrates such a poor grasp of the subjects he speaks about continues to be treated as some sort of serious political commentator.
But maybe I was wrong to complain, because there's something incredibly satisfying about watching someone like @coldxman run circles around Dave.
The difference in intellectual proficiency is almost comical.
These woke kids sure seem grumpy. I may be oversimplifying this, but maybe they just need some sleep.

People who have been in research fields develop a felt sense that most "research" (in almost any field that isn't exactingly technical) is research theater, and many superstar careers enjoy star status not because of a unique connection to the truth but because of a unique connection with an audience. No one really has the time or stature to, from a position of objectivity and trust, bring popular researchers to heel. But it will get increasingly hard to hide from serious critique. The machines can do critique now, at the level of depth and rigor previously only possible for the academically deranged. We're going to have to revise a lot of what we "know" about the world that isn't really knowledge but is actually just received popular consensus - like floating voltages without grounding wires. The grounding wires are coming.
Tyler Cowen:
'I am not even sure what to say at this point. We need a radical revaluation of this work, and of the associated policy arguments. More generally, this is only a single step in the story of how AI is going to revise economic science, and indeed past research more generally. As I stress in many of my recent talks, there will be significant gains and losses in status, with the losses often outweighing the gains. I see this as one of those cases.'
These talking to students or on the street interviews are important. People need to see we are quite literally making people into permanent idiots.
If you insert a contradiction into any logical system, it destroys the system. We are literally breaking their ability to reason.
A confused college student tells Joshua Haymes she’s a man, and she doesn’t care if he wants to identify as a cat.
Then Haymes asks if he can identify as black, and her reasoning hits a brick wall fast.
HAYMES: “Why can you change your gender but I can’t change my race?”
[long awkward silence]
STUDENT: “Um, because race is a like, is a thing that is like, a physical characteristic, right?”
“That is something that like, you’re born into. And you could say, yeah, you’re born into sex. You’re born into gender ... But at some point when I was growing up, I started to get uncomfortable being a woman, and being a man was more comfortable for me.”
HAYMES: “Jay, I appreciate you giving me your experience. And what I would say is that, why can’t I have that same experience with race?”
“So, like if I said, ‘I have never really identified with white culture. I always listen to 50 Cent and Jay-Z and I really don’t feel like I’m a white person.’
“Um, why can’t I be black?”
Her silence lasted longer than her argument.
Same experience everywhere. Muslims are taught western liberal culture is to be exploited and dominated and they know that intimidation is enough because liberals will bend themselves into pretzels to avoid being accused of bigotry.
White lady makes post on r/standup about how its annoying how comedians kept picking on white women at show she attended. The comments are a gold mine of woke intersectional warfare. If you enjoy a car crash... old.reddit.com/r/Standup/com…

I remember my young friend showing me his uncircumcised penis behind the school one day and being horrified, I had never seen one before. When I asked him why it looked like that he said nigga you’re thirty five years old you tell me
You can do this with trans issues, with immigration, with Israel, with feminist issues...
The Left's incredible ability to invert reality despite the direct evidence, statistics and basic common sense... makes me question so much more.
It gives me epistemic vertigo.
I used to review officer-involved shooting reports generated by a D.A. explaining the decision to exonerate officers, and recall often thinking “I mean, could that *really* be how it went down?” I suspected there may be some fog of war or selective memory or post-hoc justification to give the officer a rational justification and paint the victim in a negative, irrational light.
But with the post-2020 adoption of body cams, I now believe it all. There is no behavior too insane for a huge number of suspects when confronted with literally any command by an officer requesting some form of compliance.
Even I thought body cams would shine a light on some substantial percentage of clear officer abuse, but it’s clearly negligible, while dangerous and erratic behavior by suspects is widespread. It is impossible to overstate how wrong BLM and reform activists were on this count.
