Tanisha went to bed disappointed after missing out at WPL auction. She woke up and smashed ton, helping Delhi post world record total.
On the record, her growth, working with Yagnik, DPL influence and how playing on good pitches helped women @indraneel0

Manchester United brought so much pain and misery to my childhood. I could never imagine they would become such a potent source of joy and laughter in my adulthood.

These are insane rainrate which one will see in life. Kathivakkam has got 260 mm. Of which, 148 mm fell in an hour. I have never seen such rain rates in Chennai. Areas close to sea are pounded.
The clouds have covered south Chennai too, entire Chennai should be getting rains now.

How many protestors can this government detain? How many young voices can the BJP silence?
The more young people they jail, the more ordinary citizens, with no political affiliation, will take to the streets and show them the true power of the people!
Solidarity with @AshutoshRanka and @SauravDassss! The DMK stands ready to provide them with all necessary legal representation and support. ✊🏾

Ashu and Saurav have been sent to 5 days judicial custody.
Their fault? Unfurling tricolour at Jantar Mantar.
Show some guts, @narendramodi. If you’re so determined to crush dissent, have the courage to officially declare an Emergency instead of hiding behind these cowardly tactics.

The response of @DKShivakumar and @PriyankKharge are welcome and reflects their accountability. Beyond what is said, the Licensing Order, 2021 by Commissioner of Police, Bangalore, restricting protests to Freedom Park, brought in when there was a BJP government, must be withdrawn

What a country we have become!
A big shout-out to all the young lawyers who ensure the release of all detainees every evening!
This fight goes on because we do not fight it alone. Journalists reporting the truth despite unlawful repression, lawyers holding the police to the law, lakhs and lakhs of first-time protesters fighting tooth and nail, giving actual blood to keep democracy alive.

This frame is the entirety of the BJP's problem. They spent 12 years, and oodles of money, to frame Indian politics as a binary -- a choice between Modi and Rahul Gandhi. And to denigrate the latter to the point where the choice was seemingly no choice at all.
Many stayed away because to oppose Modi was ipso facto seen as to support RG.
That is what has shifted. For the disaffected, it is no longer a binary. Don't like the Congress? No matter -- there is the CJP. Ambivalent about the CJP? There is Neha Bora.
You can now stand for a cause without that stance being openly linked to a preference for a particular Opposition politician.
And that is also the BJP's biggest failing: Modi's aura has been brutally punctured in the previous GenZ protests. And the party has no other leader who can come forward to give Modi some badly needed air cover, some breathing space.

Star Cape Verdean goalkeeper Vozinha and his mother will be reunited in Miami in time for the match on Sunday.
Thank you to Secretary Rubio, U.S. State Department officials, the government of Cabo Verde and FIFA for working together to make this happen.

I apologize in advance if this applies to you but I sincerely believe that if you think Ronaldo was ever close to Messi, you are of an objectively lower mental status than me, something akin to a sea urchin or maybe a mussel.

Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha after his man-of-the-match display against Spain:
"I cried after the game because I grew up with my grandparents when I was a kid, and they could not be there. They passed away a few years ago.
"My mum could not be here either for a VISA issue, and the money we had to pay for it. We did not manage to do this in time."
