I'm hearing a lot of "people don't have to lose coverage- it's their choice" arguments in favor of work reporting requirements.
1. Either many people lose coverage or the proposals don't generate savings. They were designed to reduce spending which requires covering fewer people

This article has my heart: "The brains of people who napped several times a week were more than 15 cubic cm larger than the brains of people who never had a daytime nap. This equates to delaying ageing of the brain by between three to six years..."

Climate arguments targeting Africa too often conflate mitigation & adaptation - and seem deliberately misleading. Latest salvo from @billmckibben @DianaNabiruma @OmarElmawi in @guardian attacking Ugandan oil pipeline is another sad example. Thread→ 1/

Its 10 years this month since I wrote this review of Fire in Babylon. That documentary is the probably the single most damaging cricket documentary of this century. At least those series reviews are banal. This was actively dubious...

I have been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good.
I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery.

Friends, I’m looking for freelance journalism gigs now that my time at The Hindu is over. This is to support my expensive chocolate addiction (jk it’s for rent). There isn’t enough data to prove that RTs=good karma, but gratitude is guaranteed. Please DM or email (ID in bio).

How does @jonathanliew manage to write like this on the whistle? *the larger point is that this perfectly captures England's pathetic ODI record and that their barely believable four-year project is seven hours away from a total win.
