No need to conflate the 2. It was claimed at the time that Tobi’s WR record might not be legit for faulty timing, her shoes were questioned, journalists went after her trying to discredit her WR. How is celebrating her now the same thing?
Allow Nigerians to lick their wounds..😅
VAR is broken - it is pointless if the VAR officials are going to decide which incidents the Ref should review and which he shouldn’t. It might be better to follow Tennis and give each team a certain number (maybe 3) of VAR reviews that must happen if they request it…

VAR didn't review two clear fouls inside the Argentinian box (against Egypt players) before Enzo Fernández's goal. Why? A foul on Martínez overturned Egypt's second goal. Why does the treatment have to be so one-sided? This is completely unfair. FIFA, be ashamed. Be genuinely ashamed. This is Robbery. Egypt have been robbed.
VAR clearly won this game for Argentina - they won’t be so lucky against Switzerland or Colombia - this team isn’t good enough to reach the Final again. Better teams than Cape Verde & Egypt will blow them away for sure…sad to see what VAR has turned into - very sad for football!
Wait, so Tielemans pushed a defender to score a header for Belgium to equalize against Senegal and VAR didn’t see the need to review it - now Egypt’s 2nd goal against Argentina is wiped off because of a very soft shirt tug more than 5 passes before at the other end of the pitch?

You made the right call to focus on Athletics. Your impact is evident. We can feel it. Well done
As the FIFA World Cup kicks off today, Nigeria is absent for a 2nd consecutive tournament. Miles away in Eugene, Oregon, another story is unfolding.
Nearly 30 Nigerian athletes are competing this week at the NCAA Division I Track & Field Championships 🇳🇬
#NCAATF #TrackandField
Many of the athletes competing in Eugene today will go on to represent Nigeria at future Commonwealth Games, World Championships and Olympic Games.
Some may become global champions and medallists. A few may even challenge for world records within the next four to five years!
MoC is on the ground in Eugene covering the NCAA Championships and the future of Nigerian athletics.

🇳🇬 #TeamNigeria #WorldRelays2026 Recap: A pass mark - 5/10 - but more importantly, a clear signal…
Nigeria’s resurgence in global athletics is already underway. 4 out of 8 qualifications were achieved:
3 of 6 teams → Beijing 2027
1 of 2 teams → Budapest 2026
The biggest takeaway: 👉 70% of the athletes (7 of 10) who delivered those 4 qualifications are based and train in Nigeria.
Athletics in Nigeria is alive and kicking. Develop the sport at home - and the sport will transform.
If you must criticize it should be constructive; World Relays isn’t primarily for Collegiate Athletes, there’ll always be absences if it isn’t near the US
This is more a strong signal that Nigeria must not rely on NCAA for national team assignments, rather a pool of pro Athletes
Replying to @bambostic @MakingOfChamps
The incompetence of the current AFN president needs to be called out. This is not the way to run athletics. There's no need for your permutation if the right thing had been done before the competition. What is Solomon Ogba doing in Botswana? Have you ever thought about American
🇳🇬 Strategic question for #WorldRelays2026 Day 2 for #TeamNigeria:
Nigeria still has strong chances in the 4x400m events - but key decisions await the coaches.
Do we go all-in to secure one qualification, or take a calculated risk to try and qualify multiple teams?
Option (1): (a) Stack the men’s 4x400m with our strongest quartet, OR (b) pair our 2 best men + 2 best women in the mixed 4x400m to maximize chances of locking in 1 qualification.
Option (2): Split strength across men’s + mixed to chase 2 qualifications, but risk missing both..?
