Once you have 40 million Naira, the first thing you should buy as a Nigerian man is a car.
The car should cost between 20 to 39 million Naira. Use the remaining 1 million Naira for fuel to last you about six months. After that, you might end up selling the car for 7 million Naira, or you may abandon it with your mechanic because you can't afford to fix it.
Many of you seem mentally and financially defeated.
Talking about: My reality is different from your reality 😂 Ok na.

This is was such an audacious chip from Oluebube Umejiaku to put the Flamingos 2-0 up against Japan.
After missing that chance in the first half, she atoned for it with a more brilliant goal!!
She was so confident here 👏👏
Lawyers/reps of producers asking for points on the master will never make sense to me especially when you're working with a label that has put up capital.
Your priority should be pub. first ( >= 50%) then an advance payment for the master which can be deferred to a later date.

When VCs say "i'm not investing because the valuation is high" I'm like but you juice up the valuations of your portfolios companies??
If the valuation wasn'thigh, immediately you invest in startup first thing you do is raise the valuation so you can exit better. Irony
Very good point

Peter Thiel’s advice to his younger self: "Value substance over status."
"One of the resolutions I came up with a number of years ago was to always value substance over status, substance over prestige.
And if I was giving my younger self advice on what to do or how to think about one's life, I probably would still go to Stanford, might still go to law school.
But I'd ask a lot more questions: why I was doing these things?
Too much of it was driven by prestige and status, and not quite enough about really the substance of trying to learn things.
I sort of think of it as this sort of crazy rolling quarter life crisis, and a sort of culmination in this big New York law firm where from the outside everybody wanted to get in, from the inside everybody wanted to get out.
I lasted seven months and three days.
And when I left, one of the people down the hall said, it's so reassuring to see you leave, Peter.
I had no idea it was possible to escape from Alcatraz. And all you had to do was go through the front door.
But people's identities get so wrapped up in the things they compete for that it was inconceivable for people to actually do that.
And then the question was, how had I ended up there? Why had I not thought about that more?
And I think it was that I had taken too many of these shortcuts of valuing what was prestigious, what was conventional, over what I really wanted to do.
So I think always substance over status."

At the University of Uyo convocation lecture, I had a message for the graduating class: your digital footprint is part of your CV.
You will spend years building your qualifications. But employers, investors and partners may meet your online presence before they meet you. In an AI-powered world, what you post can be searched, indexed and analysed.
Be bold. Challenge ideas, question authority and demand accountability. But disagree with facts, not insults. Intelligence shows in how you disagree, not how loudly you shout.
Attention is not respect. Popularity is not credibility. Going viral is not creating value.
Your digital footprint should open doors for you, not close doors you do not yet know exist.
Congratulations to the graduating class. Be intentional about the reputation you build, online and offline.

“Advertising builds trust.” Revolut CEO Nik Storonsky on why he had the idea to “buy whole airports.”
Revolut now has ads in half of Europe’s airports. Everywhere you walk, you feel like you’re in a cocoon of Revolut ads.
“If you’re a digital bank, you don’t have branches. People don’t see you physically. They trust you less by definition compared to HSBC, Lloyds, or JPMorgan Chase.”
“There are a lot of spaces in the physical world which also produce impressions, but at a much cheaper price compared to the digital world.”
“How many times a year do people travel? How many impressions do we produce? How much will it cost us? There is arbitrage to performance marketing.”
“Paying for impressions is much cheaper in the physical world compared to the digital world.”
“And you’re building trust as well.”

Yesterday we hosted the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, at @terraindustries research facility in Abuja
We're excited to deepen our collaboration with the Nigerian Army to win the war on terror. We highlighted our new research programs and unveiled our plans for new defense manufacturing plants in Nigeria and Africa
One of Terra's three strategic goals is to end Africa's dependence on foreign intelligence and arms. We're in a technological arms race against the terrorists and we must win.
I agree
Mustafa Chike-Obi, former Chairman of Fidelity Bank, on whether cancelling NYSC would affect schools in rural areas.
He says it doesn't help us long term to take an unmotivated person who comes from England. To teach in a school in Taraba.
It is not a solution to our education problem.
The solution is to get a specialized core of teachers and pay them their worth.
