With campaign season coming to a close, I’m now Job searching in the DMV. If you are hiring or know of opportunities please reach out, I’d love to discuss them
I’ve worked for campaigns, as a congressional staffer, and for the Utah Legislature to go into some of my experience

The "ew people over 30 are still having halloween parties, grow up" posts are funny.
Like go ahead and throw away all your social activities and hobbies when you turn 30 if you're so eager to fight dementia in your 40s.
Yes tf it is? As will always be the case when voting for the President of the United States, the global superpower. What happens here, who wins here, matters.
Like are we really ignoring the existence of Trumps obliteration of USAID?

Andy Harris tried to have a Gold Star father arrested for asking him a question, falsely claiming he’d threatened to kill a staffer. That claim was ridiculous and unfounded, and it went nowhere. Andy Harris just hates to be questioned. You can read more about it on the website of Andy Harris’s favorite publication, the Baltimore Banner.
That father is Michael McDowell, a world-renowned expert on peace and conflict resolution. His son, Marine 1st Lt. Hugh Connor McDowell, was killed in a 2019 training accident. Since losing Connor, Michael has been working with Congress and the Pentagon to fix the kinds of safety failures that took his son’s life, and Andy Harris has ignored him.
Andy Harris has also ignored repeated requests to support the bipartisan Love Lives On Act, which would let surviving military spouses remarry without losing their benefits.
As Susan Flanagan said, Andy Harris sure doesn’t care about our military families.
Our Gold Star families deserve better. Dan will fight for them.

reminder that if you can name a single Senate candidate in a state other than the one you live in running in this year’s midterms you are so wildly outside the window of the median voter you should probably recuse yourself from political polls

Lula has fought for the poor with a tenacity and a moral clarity that inspires so many around the world. What a hero.
One month ago, I sat down with President Lula to discuss how government serving poor and working people. Weeks later, Brazil took a historic step: a 40-hour workweek, at least two days off and no cuts to pay for more than 30 million workers.
Workers fought for decades to win the five-day workweek in America. Brazilian workers have fought for this victory, too. I congratulate them on this achievement.
Working people deserve time to live, not just work. Building a better future means giving people more of their lives back. And we’ll keep fighting for it.

left nimbyism is a malignant cancer that seeks to preserve high housing costs in the interests of the wealthy under the guise of helping the working class
Consider this: @DemSocialists candidates aren’t always the best choice. A rose doesn’t translate to policy that serves the interests of all working class people including… #publichousing tenants! Hope that helps.
Why are we justifying literal beheadings
For those of you who are still being mislead by the fake news of the execution in Saudi.
Here is what really happened. Now judge it yourself.
Nazrul Islam and Sithi Akter, two Bangladeshi nationals employed as cleaning workers for the Bin Laden Group in Mecca, became romantically involved while commuting to work. Nazrul lived in a residential villa in Hayyal Iskan, while Sithi resided in Batha Kuraysh.
In May 2023, the two engaged in illicit relations in a secluded stairwell room between Gates 85 and 87 of Masjidul Haram. Nazrul had asked an Indian acquaintance to stand guard downstairs, but the friend secretly recorded the encounter on video.
Later, when the Indian national attempted to make advances toward Sithi and was rejected, he leaked the video online.
The video quickly went viral, prompting immediate intervention by Saudi authorities, who successfully apprehended all three individuals.
The Indian national received a 20-year prison sentence for recording and distributing the footage.
Nazrul Islam and Sithi Akter were detained immediately following their arrest in May 2023.
Nazrul had originally arrived in Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh between November 10 and 13, 2022. Following his arrest in May 2023, he remained incarcerated throughout a lengthy three-and-a-half to four-year judicial process leading up to October 2026.
Throughout this period, official protocol dictated that the Saudi government notify the employer (sponsor) rather than foreign government authorities.
Various rumors circulated online falsely claiming that the individuals were pilgrims performing Umrah or that the charges stemmed merely from public displays of affection.
While the defendants were unmarried, the severity of the legal outcome was not solely based on the act of zina (adultery). Because the offense took place within the sacred precincts of Masjidul Haram, the court determined that they had severely violated the sanctity and honor of Islam's holiest mosque.
Consequently, senior judges of the Supreme Court handed down the death penalty as an exemplary punishment aligned with Quranic principles and the Sunnah.

Congratulations to Los Angeles for breaking ground on a new light rail line. That doesn’t happen anywhere in America very often
The capital of American car culture is now building more transit than any other city in America.
Los Angeles just broke ground on a nearly $4 BILLION light-rail line through the San Fernando Valley:
• 6.7 miles
• 11 new stations
• Connections to Amtrak, Metrolink and the G Line
• Access to roughly 150,000 jobs across the region
Rail service is returning to Van Nuys Boulevard for the first time in more than 70 years.
Los Angeles isn’t abandoning the car overnight but it is building a future where driving is no longer the only option.

You really don't realize how talented swing-state and swing-district politicians tend to be until you see politicians from safe seats suddenly forced to fight a competitive election.

Replying to @StatisticUrban
This is so true. I’m especially enjoying all the clips from *that* Andy Harris debate - which kind of sums up people who’ve never fought a competitive election in their lives

Every election the left is presented with the world's easiest trolley problem, and every time they smirk and go "the trolley shouldn't exist" and then walk away.
