Welcome to Botswana. The rape capital of the entire world.
The safety and well-being of women and children is not a priority in this country

Seems you're daring us to not give you a second term @Official_UDC_Bw @duma_boko @Ndaba_Gaolathe, some of the variables driving up the cost of living are admittedly outside your control but this one firmly is, this is steep to the point of extortionate, challenge accepted!
Privilege is a right or advantage some people have and others don't. Most of us hold it in one form or another, ga go molato and we should be able to acknowledge it. The issue becomes when it blinds you to the fact that what's easy for you could be a struggle for someone else.

The dismissive tweets against those concerned or outraged by the steep increment in passport service charges are by and large soft life pageantry performances, let the peacocks preen to their imagined thunderous adulation!

BREAKING NEWS
YOUNG MOTSWANA MAN KILLED IN RUSSIA-UKRAINE WAR
Pako Namogang, a Botswana national born on 30 May 2001, has reportedly been killed while fighting alongside Russian forces in Ukraine’s Luhansk region, becoming the first identified Motswana fatality in Russia’s war against Ukraine, according to Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence of Ukraine (DIU).
According to the DIU, Namogang was recruited through a WhatsApp group called “Work in Russia”, where a recruiter openly sought individuals to join the Russian army.
He reportedly travelled from Johannesburg, South Africa, to Moscow on 6 July 2026 and signed a one-year military contract on 21 July.
The recruitment process allegedly involved intermediaries who facilitated the enlistment and transfer of foreign nationals.
After signing his contract, Namogang was reportedly accommodated at the Avangard Military-Patriotic Education Centre near Moscow before undergoing military training and being deployed to occupied Ukrainian territory.
He was reportedly killed in combat around mid-August 2026 near Novoliubivka in the Luhansk region.
The DIU further claims that Namogang shared the personal and passport details of friends with Russian recruiters. Their whereabouts and current status remain unknown.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s “I Want to Live” project reportedly has information on at least 25 Botswana nationals who signed contracts with Russian forces.
Of these, one is reportedly being held as a prisoner of war, while Namogang has been identified as killed.
The revelations raise serious concerns about the recruitment of foreign nationals into the war, the risks faced by young Batswana seeking opportunities abroad, and the circumstances under which they are enlisted into foreign military forces.
