Mission Shakti Kendra — transforming the safety net for women in Uttar Pradesh*
A brainchild of DGP UP Shri Rajeev Krishna, the initiative realises the Hon’ble Chief Minister’s vision of ensuring women’s safety, dignity, and empowerment across the state.
In Bareilly, this institutional innovation under Mission Shakti 5.0 became a lifeline for a 6-year-old survivor — as @BareillyPolice swiftly registered the FIR, ensured immediate medical care, coordinated two complex surgeries, and through the Mission Shakti Kendra, provided sustained trauma therapy, counselling, and emotional rehabilitation.
From crisis to recovery, every step reflected compassion in uniform — the new face of empathetic policing in Uttar Pradesh.
SSP Bareilly Anurag Arya shares details about the case.
