This week, one of our @bread4today prayer community joined thousands of people on the Garvaghy Road in Portadown to call for peace, justice and respect for the residents who live there. The dispute over an Orange Order march has brought back painful memories for a community that has spent decades working to leave violence behind. The people of the Garvaghy Road deserve to be safe and to have their dignity respected, and everyone in Northern Ireland deserves a peaceful future. God of peace, stay close to those who are afraid or feel no one is listening. Keep safe the people who gather and the families who live along the road, and guide those working to resolve this dispute. Help every community to listen to one another and to build a future without violence. Amen.

From our prayer community @bread4today : We pray for women of justice and peace whose names are unknown to us. We pray for all the women of justice & peace who are no longer with us but whose stories & spirits remain beacons of hope for all of us alive today.
