This is true, but man, I remember VA learning the the AG candidate hoped his opponent's children died horribly, and it didn't matter.
I never expected the Peltola campaign to unravel this quickly. The developments over just six hours have been extraordinary.
• NYT publishes an explosive investigation alleging Peltola campaign aides, lawyers, and national Democratic operatives helped recruit a second “Dan Sullivan” to confuse voters.
• Text messages, documents, and testimony from her former campaign manager reportedly substantiate the operation.
• AP, CNN, Reuters, Axios, PBS, Fox News, and The Guardian pick up the story.
• Trump publicly demands Peltola withdraw, accusing Democrats of fraud and perjury.
• The campaign's repeated denials are now facing intense scrutiny.
• The DOJ's existing election lawsuit is back in the spotlight.
And now there are reports that Republican Sen. Lisa Murkowski is accusing Peltola's campaign of a “cover-up” — a remarkable development given her previous defense of Peltola.
All of this just six days before Election Day.
What an extraordinary six hours in Alaska politics.

Democrats, who have made schools the worst in the Nation in Arizona— overtly telling you they will subject your kids to the worst possible education with them in charge.

Maricopa County is having record in person early voting because this is the first time in a decade we haven’t had a recorder who is:
— Too old to know what’s going on
— A radical socialist trying to hijack elections
— A guy who just moved to Arizona who had zero experience
Thankfully we got it fixed in 2024 and now voting is a tad less idiotic in AZ.
Pass the Kolodin proposition and let’s have first world elections like Florida.

Gee, the coalition that emphasizes traditional values, upward mobility, and muscular foreign policy depends on the working class for its votes. Where have we seen that before?
Socioeconomic status was key indicator of voting in Israel's elections.
Among Jewish voters, in the lowest socio-economic cluster, Netanyahu's coalition won North Korean levels of support. In the top cluster, 81% voted for the Change Bloc.

A follow on thought here. In the vast majority of churches this is darn near impossible to pull off. The reasons:
1) The biggest reason is that boomers fund and run most churches and they as a general rule do not agree on any of this. What you'd need to roll back is exactly what they did and they would take it all as a call to repent. And I'm not saying that is wrong, just that you probably blow up the congregation or at least kill its funding.
2) Even if you can get past the boomer funding and repentance problem, the more traditional churches are hopelessly divided and small. In order to give "do not be unequally yoked" a chance, they would have to either merge by the dozens all over. Which would also help with the first problem. But the first problem gets in the way there also. And figuring out how to work across the old barriers of congregation and denomination is tough. Especially when the denomination even more so is run by those who don't think it's a problem.

What follows isn't Renn, and what follows isn't about fixing the general culture which I take as hopeless, but I also think I see the outlines of what Sarah Ruden discussed in her early work Paul Among the People. All of the passages in Paul that modern feminists screech at are the ones that gave early Christianity its practical strength. And eventually changed the culture which we have lost. And that Christians need to unashamedly bring back. Because it is a better way.
1. The general male/female culture was toxic.
2. Christians just said we aren't playing that game ("do not be unequally yoked.") They were not ignorant of it, they just said no.
3. They accepted that something better was within their power and even if male/female didn't work out living by the Christian way shaped by the commandment on Adultery was personally better. Stopped blaming the other sex and lived their life in obedience to The Way.
4. There were live signals and pledges that this subculture was different. And that subculture both lived it and policed it when necessary.

Abdul is TANKING! 🔥
Kramer says that even as a lifelong Democrat, backing Rogers is FAR more impactful than leaving his ballot blank to stop Mohamed from reaching the Senate
Another Democrat defection.
It really feels like Michigan Mike has the momentum!

This is actually true—
Duke Energy guaranteed a $10 million line of credit so the Democrats could hold their 2012 convention in Charlotte.
The host committee never paid it back. Duke simply wrote it off. Shareholders (and ultimately ratepayers) ate roughly $6 million of the cost after taxes.
Jim Rogers, Duke’s CEO at the time and a co-chair of the host committee, shrugged it off as a contribution “for the greater good.”
Years later Lynn Good collected $20–21 million packages—mostly stock and incentives—while North Carolina families watched electricity prices climb and the company sought rate hikes.
A regulated monopoly underwriting one party’s convention, absorbing the loss, then handing its top executives eight-figure pay.
That’s the arrangement.
Replying to @RealMashburn4NC
In 2013, Duke Energy co-signed a $10 million loan for the democrats at Bank Of America. The DNC never paid the bill, so Duke Energy did. If you look up the last CEO of Duke Energy, Lynn Wood, she helped herself to around $22 million a year salary using bonuses to do so.

This is my general read on the polls. (And ever since 2016 it seems this is always that case. There are two groups of polls. Those showing tight races that probably resolve to the underlying partisan nature of the state. And those that are "blue wave everywhere!" And the extreme cases have always ended up with egg on their face. But because they are (D) they never get dropped. You decide if they were ever real or always made up.)
1) This should not be a legal matter. Arresting the mom is insane.
2) Would I get on a plane out of town leaving a 14 year old in charge with a 9, 11 and 12 year old - no. Would I leave that situation for say a night out (dinner, movie, maybe some drinks) - yeah, not a second thought.
3) If I was stuck. Which is really what the bigger story sounds like. She had work out of town. She had a baby sitter scheduled to look. She just had to leave before the sitter got there. Would I do that? - Probably not, but I can completely understand the choice. As it sounds like the Dad is a piece of work.
Bottom line: There are a lot worse things than this. And if you can't help, calling the cops is just making things worse.
Bodycam footage shows Florida deputies arresting a mother at an airport after authorities say she left her four children, ages 9, 11, 12 and 14, home alone while traveling to Las Vegas for work.
Irene Miller, 50, was taken into custody Friday as she stepped off a plane. Two days earlier, one of her children had called 911 after a dumbbell fell on her 9-year-old brother's head.
When deputies arrived at the family's Kissimmee home, they found the children without adult supervision and had the injured boy taken to a hospital, where he was treated and released. Miller now faces four counts of child neglect.
