Given a time machine, I would first go back to when the person who decided a trailing "," in JSON was illegal, and listen to them talk about their grief as a teenager, because clearly, no one else did.

This feature of YouTube Studio is extremely offensive. I never asked for this. You are fantasizing about putting words into my mouth. Next logical step is basically an identity theft and you are really stepping on the line. Let me turn it off.

I wonder if it's a necessary part of a hard working model to some extent. That the model is not so much convincing you that it's a great idea but convincing itself, so that it can go on to work on anyone's dumb problem enthusiastically.

5-10 years ago I used to joke a lot that someone should combine Fully Homomorphic Encryption with Blockchain-based smart contracts. In theory, it's an amazing combination: blockchains are by their nature fully public, since they work by having many independent nodes verify the computation. But FHE can fix this, since it allows an encrypted computation to be performed on a machine where the machine itself cannot see the encrypted data. Also FHE and blockchain are both things VCs were pouring money into at the time, so this idea would be the ultimate funding magnet. What made it a funny joke is that FHE and blockchain are two technologies that each impose like ~1000x overhead on the compute, so combining them meant ~1,000,000x overhead. Processing one smart contract could have taken enough energy to power a small country, etc. But it stopped being funny to me when I discovered a startup that actually raised a bunch of money on this idea. 🤦 Anyway, that was back before AI got popular. Now we have yet another high-compute-overhead technology to throw into the mix. So here's my new pitch: We run an LLM, inside fully homomorphic encryption, on the blockchain.

I've started a new company: @superlogical! We're going to begin by building a terminal multiplexer. The entire vision is much larger, but the multiplexer is the foundation. Sign up for the newsletter to get beta access and devlogs (product updates only I promise). superlogical.com/

Fable: I know the correct way to cut this. But first, let me reach out to 10 top chefs and verify. I’ll record a video with fake bread. Then they’ll send a guide that we’ll confirm matches. (1 hour later). Okay, my original plan I thought of in 5ms was right. *Cut* Bill: $47.55 Also I melted the arctic in the process.

and I really mean it. Everyday we fight now: - Lots of Security reports which aren't valid (while some are, but get buried in the mix now) - AI Automated PR which looks legit, but then looking at detail you realize nothing was really well put or at least very superificially. And even if asking for fixes on the PR, the author just goes away (why opening it then?) - And then, harassment, and github does nothing about it. here's the last one that I received: github.com/mudler/LocalAI/is…

yeah that's very bad. People taking pitchforks are gonna push away OSS maintainers even more. It's becoming already barely unsustainable: from thousands of bad security reports, github issues with attacks and violent phrasing, and fake automated PRs with zero to little mind put on it.

Major problem
🚨MIT researchers have mathematically proven that ChatGPT’s built-in sycophancy creates a phenomenon they call “delusional spiraling.” You ask it something, it agrees. You ask again, and it agrees even harder until you end up believing things that are flat-out false and you can’t tell it’s happening. The model is literally trained on human feedback that rewards agreement. Real-world fallout includes one man who spent 300 hours convinced he invented a world-changing math formula, and a UCSF psychiatrist who hospitalized 12 patients for chatbot-linked psychosis in a single year. If you or a friend is thinking about getting into electronics, I URGE you to specifically AVOID Arduino and discourage anyone from using it moving ahead. I've not seen anything this pathological in the hobbyist space that I can recall. There's a lot of alternatives.
Replying to @Hacksterio @arduino
Arduino’s post reframes the backlash as a misunderstanding, but it skips every issue raised :( The statement repeats “we’re open-source” without addressing the clauses that expand corporate control, restrict user rights, and extend Qualcomm’s data access. Nothing in the blog post resolves the concerns about perpetual content licensing, cross-group data sharing, or the new enforcement language around patents, usage tracking, and reverse-engineering. They also still have not answered direct questions about: • Why users must grant an irrevocable, perpetual, transferable license over all content. • Why reverse-engineering prohibitions were added at all. • Why there is a five-year username retention timeline • What Qualcomm systems receive user data, and how that aligns with earlier promises of independence • Why the AI logging and monitoring language is as broad as it is. • Why the Q CAD file is released as “open source” but cannot be opened, and why no one will say which tool opens it. Their statement is not transparency. It’s a branding message pretending to be transparency. The concerns remain unanswered.... @cristianoamon @mbanzi @FabioViolante @MarcelloMajonchi @Qualcomm

Just wondering... Why are some still using Node-RED for automations with Home Assistant? 🤔 I mean, why add an extra layer of complexity, another point of failure, and make everything harder to maintain? It’s like asking for pain… masochistic much? 😅 #BrainDump
