I’m going to say something controversial. May get hate for this. The pendulum has swung too far in the other direction regarding marijuana. Cannabis use disorder is real and many people are addicted, including kids. But anytime I bring that up “oh it’s just weed it’s harmless.”

When I was a kid I did a lot of camping with my Boy Scout troop. One of my favorite places was located on Forest Service land, a short drive from town. We camped there every year and usually practiced land navigation through the forest. Until we showed up one year to find the area closed off. No trespassing signs. The road gated. Hundreds of acres had been sold to a corporation that then logged the entire thing and just left it dead, and it has sat that way for decades. All gated off. All inaccessible.
