Just nerd sniped an Engineering Lead by giving him a @honeycombio heat map query and showing him how to drill into some of the traces... the messages back were glorious... "But that one is taking ages, what's happe... oh... the api is hitting that one... that's not right.."

Cool project using @circleci to test and benchmark #clojure solutions to #adventofcode:
Advent of CLJC now prints the scores of commited solutions compared to others in CircleCI. Instead of solving today's puzzle, I learned more bash... circleci.com/gh/borkdude/adv… #AdventOfCode #Clojure #ClojureScript #CLJC

And I'd just like to say, for anyone reading this or pondering the question themselves or for their own sons and daughters: Have you considered software engineering? 💁‍♀️💁‍♂️

If you are a developer, you should never know about tracing libraries unless you want to add custom data. Traces should come from the environment automatically as much as possible, and you should have an opportunity to participate into that. Participation requires what's above.

Speaking of pockets, I was watching a video earlier today, when the Wicked Witch of the West visits Mr. Rogers to talk about how it was just make believe. She puts on her costume, and the first thing she brags about is how it had pockets. youtu.be/W23FRsHnegE?t=4m47s (at 5:05)

I need several hundred monitors for a school project. Older or second-hand is fine. Anyone know of a company in NZ upgrading or retiring a lot of old equipment? Retweets appreciated.

Podcasters never should have had to deal with an attack from a "podcasting patent" in the first place. This week, Personal Audio LLC had its last appeal rejected by the Supreme Court, and the world is a bit safer for podcasters. eff.org/deeplinks/2018/05/ef…
