Have sent a letter to the drug control administration requesting an investigation into this. If this was due to a bad batch of medicine, then the batches should be tracked and urgently recalled If it wasn't that, then improper dosage could be the most likely explanation. Chloroquine has to be dosed based on body weight and giving the same dose (higher) to a ten year old and a 5 year old can have tragic results Hopefully the andhra pradesh govt prioritizes transparency in the interests of public health. And publishes a full report on what happened, and how we prevent this from happening again and also holding the concerned parties accountable I am not a public health expert and i might be dead wrong on this, but I think giving chloroquine tablets to tribals as a prophylactic instead of as a treatment when diagnosed is quite problematic. Perhaps mosquito nets/repellents should be the first goto strategy. Anyway will wait for a full report by the Andhra Pradesh govt If any public health experts/doctors reading this, please do let me know your thoughts
This is the reality of this country! Two students died in Polavaram district of Andhra Pradesh allegedly because of expired malarial medicine given to them at school today!!! School staff distributed Chloroquine tablets to 73 students in Gollaguppa village, located in Visapuram Gram Panchayat, Etapaka Mandal, Polavaram District, Andhra Pradesh. About 20 students immediately fell ill and they were shifted to the area government hospital in Badrachalam district of Telangana for treatment. Two students died after the adverse reaction to Chloroquine tablets. Five of them still remain extremely critical Remember the song and dance welcome to PM Modi by school girls for the airport inaugural? Incident is from the same state.

Next on copwatch we are auditing the finances of the Police Departments We audit their books, their budgets, their finances and every rupee spent. We are not doing any investigative work, we are just going through the public records of the money spent by the police If you also want to join the effort, copwatchindia.org/volunteer

There is no need for goons in India because the Indian police force itself is a massive goon. In this case, the police issued a notice for the accused to appear under Section 35(3) of the BNSS, yet they arrested him just a day before that date. This is exactly what is called state-sponsored legal terrorism. Anyway, I have no hope that the High Court will take any action against this police officer. nitter.gq/barandbench/status/209…
Have arrests become a joke? Karnataka High Court pulls up police for hasty arrest Read here: barandbench.com/news/litigat…

Thank you for your service Nisarga ! Keep up the good work and audit all the police websites. The Copwatch Community has your full support.
reported critical vulns in police/law enforcement infra to cert-in a month ago. still unpatched. cert-in keeps wasting my time with “patched, please retest” mails, and every single retest proves the same exploits still work. absolute shitshow.

Yesterday we launched the book "Chattam" which is a telugu translation of ''The Law" written by Frederic Bastiat, the french economist. After that we held a press meet in Vijayawada to expose the rampant corruption and illegal activities by what we call 'Jagan Lokesh Mining Companies'. Today we have a private company hiring thugs to setup checkposts and extort farmers, and normal citizens who have nothing to do with mining activities. The scale of the corruption, involvement of the ruling party as well as the opposition party and the brazen extortion is bound to shock anyone who hasn't come across this yet. I will share the link for the press conference where we have exposed with evidence : videos, receipts and other documents what's going on. We appeal to Andhra citizens facing harassments that the actions and extortion by this private mafia has no legal basis and it is perfectly constitutional to use self-defense in response to any such extortion attempts. We have setup a helpline number for anyone who is facing harassment and extortion by these thugs. Our expose was covered in many local regional tv channels, print and also by the Indian Express I will do a space on this, if anyone is interested in hearing this insane story about how the govt created something like a Mini East India company in Andhra Pradesh

Now that the government is pushing for a night economy, at least Hyderabad Police should stop posting on social media about arrests of people for moving around late at night or playing snooker at midnight. It’s hardly a proud achievement and only puts the city in a bad light. @hydcitypolice , @SajjanarVC_IPS, @TelanganaDGP 🙏🙏
Hyderabad’s night economy is getting a public transport boost Greater RTC is preparing 30 overnight buses on 6 routes, running from 10:30 PM to 5 AM 🔹Hayathnagar → JBS (290U) 🔹Kondapur → Secunderabad (10H) 🔹Medchal → Gachibowli (195) 🔹Koti → Patancheru (222A) 🔹Secunderabad → Patancheru (219) 🔹Koti → Patancheru (218) #Publictransport #Nightlife #Hyderabad

As for high-intensity headlamps, the maximum permissible intensity has been reduced from 1.5 lakh candela or cd (official base unit of luminous intensity) to 1 lakh cd for two-wheelers
India's government has proposed a massive crackdown on headlight brightness to make roads safer. If passed, these laws would reduce the legal brightness of all headlights and regulate color balance to ban blinding white lights.

What are those guidelines ?? Here are 5 guidelines Copwatch India designed not for optics management, but to make Delhi Police (and by extension any Indian police force) actually transparent, lawful, and accountable. 1. Every officer must wear the full designated uniform with clearly readable name plate and badge/force number at all times. 2. Officers will not snatch, push away, damage, or demand deletion of phones or cameras, let them record everything 3. All personnel deployed will wear body-worn cameras at all times 4. If any person collapses, is injured, or claims injury, the nearest officer’s primary duty is to render or summon medical aid and clear the path — not to clear the “optics.” 5. Force may be used only as a last resort when non-violent means have failed or are clearly inadequate. Any force applied must be the minimum necessary and strictly proportionate to the immediate threat Any use of force must be immediately logged with time, location, reason, and supervising officer. A copy of that log is to be handed to the person or their family and published online the same day.
The kind of meaningless nonsense which makes a mockery of the violence that the cops unleashed on young women. The young folks are being treated in this advisory as some conspiratorial criminals falsely trying to defame cops, and not as people recording and showing the truth

For some reason people think Mumbai Police is one of the better Police Departments in this country No, you fell for it Mumbai Police is no different, the only difference is that Bollywood is doing the PR for Mumbai Police
Hey @MumbaiPolice , on what grounds was the Stella Bossi gig shutdown at Antisocial yesterday? This is an indoor gig. The venue has all the licenses. There are no sound complaints and the gig was scheduled to end at 9:30pm According to the DJ, cops shut it down because techno music "attracts bad things" By that logic will you shut down religious processions that attract all sorts of criminal elements? Not sure what organizations like @NRAI_India are doing when their members are being harassed like this Cops in India behave like they are above the law and in this case they are behaving like the Taliban religious police...

What are cops in Gujarat smoking ? See this is happening at petrol pumps now, the Police Commissioner of the Taliban Police released a FATWA that vehicles without number plate should not be given fuel People showed disobedience to his unconstitutional fatwa, so this Amir al-Mu'minin has literally stationed cops at the petrol bunks now

The Police should have no power to impose such unconstitutional lockdowns every night We have to Decriminalize Night Life in India, this policy of closing everything at 11PM doesn't make any sense in 2026
Meanwhile a @PuneCityPolice vehicle blocking road because they’re making an announcement to close shops at 11 PM. Which other country you’ve seen police announcing to close business because it’s night?

We announced a meeting in Navluru village on 18th to highlight the problems many plot owners were facing , because the govt literally stole their land, gave it for road building and said we can't give you compensation as our records show this is govt land (It wasn't. this is part of the pattern of govt stealing people's land by 22A notifications) Now these villagers have been running from pillar to post for more than a decade to get their lands cleared from 22A. in 2024, the administrative authorities pretty much closed their file saying in our records it is under 22A Now these villagers approached us due to our property rights campaign. And we announced on the 16th evening that day after tomm i.e the 18th, we will have a meeting on this in Navluru village and meet the victims. Within a few hours, the entire district machinery swung into action(Since this was Nara Lokesh's constituency). Calls from MLAs and party workers to the affected people threatening them not to attend our meeting. they also circulated one notice saying the govt has cleared their problems. They claimed that they had issued this notice last week but due to some reasons they were waiting to tell people 🤡 So more than a decade and half of people have been suffering but the GO is produced exactly the night before our meeting. Funnily the PDF metadata shows that the document was printed on 17th August 7pm Still people turned up on 18th. And we are happy that we are able to tighten the screws and force the goverment to do the work they were elected to do! Now the second funny part is that, after our meeting, the video of which is available on youtube, the YSRCP media (Saakshi news) put out news saying our team member ABV has made a statement in the meeting that Jagan's govt is 100 times better than CBN/TDP government. No such statement or even anything similar to that was made. So not a question of misrepresentation, it is absolute fabrication As libertarians we don't want to file defamation lawsuits, and so we have sent out a letter to Saakshi news asking them not to publish fake news and retract their fabricated news content.
