My physiotherapist today said that patients are knowingly coming in with fever, cough, and norovirus, and that they complain when staff tell them that they should stay home. She said: „Nothing has been learned from Corona“. True, but they also refuse to enforce hygiene rules.

The largest and longest study to date (18.3 million adults) tracking the relationship between COVID-19 and neurodegenerative disorders found that contracting COVID-19 SIGNIFICANTLY increases the risk of developing cognitive impairment and dementia. 🔗👇🔍

Getting Covid significantly increases the risk of developing cognitive impairment and dementia. This is from a study of 18.3 million adults. It's one of the main reasons I mask.

There definitely wasn't this kind of celebration but everyone was terrified of more trump policies and thought Biden would save us on covid. That was the ONLY reason he won. And then he threw the world under the bus.

It's so dope that my Uber driver saw me wearing a mask 😷 and decided to put one on, too. I thanked him!

'Health Nerd' (an Epidemiologist) who writes for The Guardian and other media, claiming the pandemic is over, and Long-COVID isn't a thing, has accepted funding from Koch Industries via ACSH.
This makes sense now.

Spot-on takedown of healthcare workers who complain about masking. Kevin Handy is an intensive care MD and anesthesiologist who’s tired of the BS. @Moreicuforyou on other platforms.

I was in the ER with neutropenia and an infection after chemo. A sign on the door said mask protocol. The nurses seemed to feel that if they just stuck their heads in the room, they didn't need to. I ended up having an air filter brought in and wearing an N95 for 5 straight days.

Me to nurse: can you please put on a mask? (Which I had requested and they had done previously) Nurse standing 2 feet in front of my face: oh! I’m not here! Me: yes…. You are here Nurse: *walks out* Arguing that you aren’t actually present as a reason for not masking is WILD 😅

I refuse to accept that the only options on the entire face of the Earth are continued extreme levels of isolation while everything falls apart, or joining the mass suicide of sacrificing ourselves to a mass casualty event just to participate in life. We need a new, safe society.

Ziga A100-L vs. Zimi ZM100 1. Under identical test conditions—both meeting the KN100 standard—the Ziga exhibits nearly 30% lower breathing resistance than the Zimi. (Note: The filtration efficiency shown in the test charts reflects the fit between the mask and the headform, rather than the intrinsic filtration capacity of the KN100-rated material itself.) This demonstrates an advancement in the new filtration material. The ZM100 features a foam strip, whereas the A100-L does not. 2. Improved welding techniques result in a more refined appearance. By reducing the weld surface area—without compromising structural integrity—an additional 2% of effective ventilation area is gained, which contributes to lower breathing resistance. 3. The mask offers the flexibility to switch between head-mounted and ear-loop configurations at any time; users can also select the strap type and color that best suit their preferences and the intended level of exertion. 4. A new material for the sealing gasket, combined with a third-generation support frame, allows for a faster and more optimal seal. (Future testing will evaluate fit data upon initial application and over varying durations of wear.)

I've been corrected on this. Apologies for passing on incorrect information. There are not 1 million new Covid cases in the US every week at the moment. There are 1 million new Covid cases EVERY DAY.
To all those who believe (and act as if) Covid is "over" – the US just hit *1 million new Covid cases a week*. 1 million. Every week. Can you read that and still believe it's "over"? If you can, what does that say about you?

five years means it’s permanent btw
Cognitive impairment after COVID is still there five years out - memory, attention, focus, slower processing, orientation, decision making. Severe COVID clearly raises dementia risk too. The largest, longest study on this so far. 18M adults in England, up to 5.5 years of follow-up. 🧵

It still amazes me how I was labeled a hypochondriac by doctors and psychiatrists, only to develop actual heart failure and vascular disease years later. Now, those very same doctors tell me nothing can be done anymore, and the psychiatrist barely even apologized.

Still masking in office with hepa filtration and co2 monitoring, for my pts , myself, my family. Easy peasy. It’s the Gold Standard. In my opinion healthcare settings such as hospitals should require masking as they are high risk viral areas for all.

Well this is interesting After 2y we abandoned Covid precautions in the community Sent lots of Covid cases to Emergency Dept, And lots of Covid-assisted cases, Then stopped wearing masks in hospital, And our EDs have since become backed up beyond recognition I wonder if there is any connection Hmm 🤨 🧐 🤔

My only specialist who knows anything about the complexity of my condition (and who also masks for me) just cancelled my crucial upcoming appointment citing an indefinite leave of absence. My healthcare has officially hit rock-bottom.
