God does not need time, but he freely enters it; he does not need a house, but he builds one anyway. All of this is for our benefit, out of God's zeal to dwell together with finite, embodied creatures in covenant. That God freely does this in creation, without any inherent need, is a testimony to his unfathomable goodness. That he continues to do this even in relation to the unfaithful covenant partner is a measure of his unsearchable grace.

The New Testament doesn’t contrast two worlds—physical and spiritual—but two ages: this present age and the age to come. When Paul speaks of “spirit” and “flesh,” he’s not speaking as a Platonist. He’s contrasting what humans can achieve in their own strength (the age of the flesh) with what the Spirit brings from the age to come. Every time we gather as the Lord’s people, the Holy Spirit breaks into this present evil age, delivering morsels of the world to come, like the dove bringing Noah a twig from the new creation.

This website is not designed for intellectual clarity or charitable discussion. It rewards snark, gotchas, etc. Christians, we would do well to argue on here less, use this website in a more limited way, and then have our arguments in person. Something to consider.

Everyone needs to stop appealing to a social characterization of Jesus in order to score political points. Jesus is the great God and Savior of sinners. He is to be trusted in and worshipped. He will judge those who seek to exploit Him for sordid ends.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning.
The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We observed his glory, the glory as the one and only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

Whether Thomist or biblicist, presuppositionialist or evidentialist, paedobaptist or credobaptist...I bet if we sat down and ate a meal together, if our children played together while we talked of the great God that called us out of darkness into His marvelous light, we wouldn't be saying the things we say of eachother on social media...
There is a better way...

E é claro que eu me encaixo nessa própria descrição.
Somos finitos.
