The pressure is going to rest on the idea that relying on any Arab party support is illegitimate, dangerous, or irresponsible when there is a Zionist option to be had. This, after Israeli Arabs turned out in historic numbers, after Ra'am did everything it could to make itself acceptable to the Jewish majority and put a Zionist Yesh Atid MK as the second person on its list, and after Ra'am has been clear that it will not only participate in a Zionist government but accepts all three of Eisenkot's principles for joining (acceptance of Israel as Jewish and democratic, supporting the principles in the declaration if independence, and endorsing national service). If after all of that, the Jewish opposition bloc thinks it is better to join with Bibi despite repeatedly tabbing him as a force of destruction who is evading responsibility for Oct. 7 and puts his own needs above the state's, then the message to 1/5 of Israel's citizens will be that there is literally nothing they can do that will be accepted by the Jewish majority. If that is the opposition's position in the end, then the paeans to how wonderful it is that Arabs get to vote and serve in Knesset will be as hollow as possible. This is the perfect opportunity to genuinely integrate an Arab party and its voters into Israel's political system on completely Zionist terms. Eschewing that will do incalculable damage on multiple fronts.

Bibi’s cousin, announcing he will not vote Likud and is suspending his party membership. Frames around the prophet Amos's refrain — "For three transgressions... and for four, I will not revoke it"
1. The regime coup
2. The shattered security doctrine
3. Breach of the state's covenant with its citizens
4. The refusal to take responsibility
Important message from @RozenNir on the likely wave of fake news and disinformation that will be pumped out by the poison machine during and after the election. I was also pleased to get the Arsenal badge in shot

My final pre-election thoughts.
In short - chosen Eisenkot, Liberman, Bennett or Golan to lead a Zionist coalition.
They must develop a new Zionist vision for Israel and not just fix the mistakes of Netanyahu.
But first they need to win.

Ben Gvir and Smotrich are in the current Israeli gov because Netanyahu engineered it to be so. If he forms another gov there is no doubt those fascists will be part of it. Skip the subtext, get off the fence, and support the anti-Netanyahu opposition
I said I wasn’t going to weigh in on who should be prime minister of Israel as that is a decision for Israeli citizens. I did, however, want to share one point of view from the perspective of someone who has an understanding of how Israel is perceived in America.
Itamar Ben-Gvir and Bezalel Smotrich have caused Israel enormous reputational damage with their statements and actions which are presented in the global media as representing the voice and will of all Israelis.
As such, a government formed without Ben-Gvir and Smotrich will send a message to the rest of the world that Israel is turning a new page.
This will allow Israel to rebuild lost credibility, increase the opportunity for an expansion of the Abraham Accords, and enjoy a better relationship with Democrats and Republicans and Americans at large.
