Bhopal engineering college “love jihad” cases (Similar to #AjmerRapeCases1992) The Hindu girl pleaded "Do not rape me, do not record a video—my life will be ruined"…….. A 19yr old Hindu girl complained to the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) about the exploitation of female students at a private engineering college in the in the Kokta area of the city. Several female students were systematically lured into relationships under false pretenses. The accused concealed their religious identities and introduced themselves as Hindus during initial interactions, gaining the trust of the victims. Once trust was established, the girls were allegedly sexually assaulted. The accused Farhan and others recorded obscene videos of the victims, which were then used to blackmail, threaten and silence them. The victims were subjected to pressure not only to remain silent but also to convert to Islam and undergo forced marriage ceremonies. After rape, Farhan had assured the girl that if she introduced him to other Hindu girls, she would be spared from blackmail. The woman alleged that she was forced to introduce her friends to Farhan and his associate, Sahil, who then raped and blackmailed her friends too. Farhan used to take the female students to a farmhouse belonging to one of his associates. Farhan Khan, also raped a minor at his own home—an incident that took place while his mother and brother were present in the house. Farhan has two sisters; the elder one would pressure young women into maintaining sexual relations with her brother to avoid social disgrace. She would brainwash them, telling them to disregard such concerns for the sake of their future and to simply do whatever Farhan asked of them. A further revelation emerged on Monday: a farmhouse (Club-90 restaurant) belonging to a criminal from Bhopal is located in the Bilkhiria police station area, not far from the college where the victims were subjected to these atrocities. Farhan Khan allegedly took several young women to this farmhouse on different occasions, and it is suspected that similar acts of abuse took place there as well. One of the victim's, a resident of Betul, arrived in Bhopal in 2022 with dreams of becoming an engineer and enrolled in a private college. During that same year, Farhan was an MBA student at the same institution. The victim was introduced to Farhan through a mutual friend at the college. In April 2022, Farhan took her and her younger sister to meet an individual named Hamid in the Jahangirabad area, accompanied by his associates, Aryan and Adarsh. It was there that Farhan first raped her. When she resisted, he promised marriage to manipulate her, and subsequently forced her to consume non-vegetarian food. When she stopped talking to him, he threatened to circulate her obscene videos and photos among her college friends; he then took her to Abrar’s house in Ashoka Garden and raped her. Subsequently, to protect himself, Farhan continued to exploit her by pressuring her to befriend other Hindu women and engage in sexual relations with them. In 2023, Farhan befriended the elder sister, and through him, she was introduced to Ali. In June 2024, Ali took the younger sister of the girl to his home at night under the pretext of taking her out for a drive, where he raped her and recorded a video. He sent this video to Farhan, who then used it to coerce her into sexual acts. Farhan’s associates—Nabeel, Saad, Abrar, and Ali—also pressured her to engage in sexual relations with Farhan, threatening her with public disgrace. Saad forced the woman to consume cannabis and assaulted her. Following this, both sisters abandoned their studies in Bhopal. Distressed by Farhan’s brutality and blackmail, the younger sister moved to Indore to continue her education, but Farhan tracked her down there as well. On April 8th of this month, the young woman was in her room in Indore, speaking on the phone with a male cousin, when Farhan arrived and knocked on the door. As soon as the door was opened, Farhan forced his way inside and, before she could even grasp the situation, began assaulting her. The young woman’s phone slipped from her hand; she kept pleading, "Do not rape me, do not record a video—my life will be ruined," but Farhan did not listen. Throughout this, a male cousin of the woman was listening to the entire sequence of events unfolding over the phone. The accused, Farhan, Sahil, Saad(Shamsuddin), Ali Khan, Mohammad Nabeel & Abrar arrested Before their court appearance, the Bagsewania police paraded Farhan, Sahil, and Ali Khan in front of Barkatullah University.
