IF STEVE ROGERS RETURNED THE INFINITY STONES, WHY DIDN’T EVERY BRANCH TIMELINE DISAPPEAR?
One detail about Avengers: Endgame that deserves more attention is what actually happened to the alternate timelines created during the Avengers’ time heist.
The Ancient One explained that removing an Infinity Stone could create a branch reality vulnerable to dangerous consequences. Bruce Banner promised that returning each Stone to its original moment would prevent that specific problem.
But returning a Stone is not necessarily the same as erasing an entire timeline. The Avengers’ actions could still have changed events in those realities, even after the Stones were restored.
Loki’s escape with the Tesseract is one example.
So did Steve actually restore those timelines, or only return what was missing?

**Two men charged under the National Security Act over a suspected plot near RAF Fairford, with police linking the case to Iran.**
Mohmed Abdulkarim, 24, and Nouman Essghir, 24, both from the London borough of Westminster, face charges under the National Security Act 2023. They are due to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court today (27 October 2026).
Abdulkarim is charged with assisting a foreign intelligence service (Section 3 of the Act). Prosecutors allege that between 31 August and 28 September 2026 he engaged in conduct likely to materially assist a foreign intelligence service in UK-related activities, knowing (or reasonably expected to know) that it would do so. Counter Terrorism Policing believes the service involved is Iran.
Essghir is charged with entering a prohibited place for a purpose prejudicial to the UK (Section 4). The charge relates to activity on 22 August 2026, when he is alleged to have inspected, approached, or been in the vicinity of a prohibited place for a purpose he knew (or ought reasonably to have known) was prejudicial to UK safety or interests. He was first arrested near the base on 27 September and re-arrested on 20 October.
The case stems from a major incident declared on 27 September after three suspicious vehicles were seen near RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, a key US-operated base that had hosted B-1 bombers used in strikes on Iran. Armed police responded; five men were arrested at the scene (initially under explosives-related powers). No explosives were found, though an accelerant (petrol) was reported in the vehicles. One of the men reportedly dialled 999 himself. US bombers were later withdrawn from the base on security grounds. A total of seven men have been arrested in the investigation; five others remain on police bail (including a 25-year-old dual UK-Iranian national who was re-arrested and released without charge but remains on bail).
Frank Ferguson, Chief Crown Prosecutor for the CPS Special Crime and Counter Terrorism Division, confirmed the decision to prosecute following the Counter Terrorism Policing investigation into the high-profile incident. Assistant Commissioner Laurence Taylor, head of National Counter Terrorism Policing, noted a pattern of incidents believed directed by the Iranian state and urged the public to report x and ongoing. Proceedings are active; reporting that could prejudice a fair trial should be avoided.

But here’s what makes this matchup ridiculous.
Superman has overwhelming speed, strength, and durability.
Thor has thousands of years of combat experience, divine weapons, and magical abilities that Superman can’t simply ignore.
One is powered by a yellow sun.
The other is the God of Thunder.
And depending on which comic versions you choose, either one can become terrifyingly powerful.
But forget popularity. Forget childhood favorites. Forget which universe you love.
Both are standing in an empty battlefield. No teammates. No preparation. No holding back.

HOLLYWOOD HAS A LOT OF TALENTED ACTRESSES, BUT SADIE SINK IS ONE OF THOSE PEOPLE WHO CAN MAKE YOU FEEL EVERY SECOND OF A SCENE.
From her heartbreaking performance as Max Mayfield in Stranger Things to her role in The Whale, Sadie has shown that acting is more than memorizing lines. It’s about making people believe in the character, feel their pain, and remember their story long after the screen goes dark.
Her performance in the “Dear Billy” episode of Stranger Things was a perfect example. The fear, the desperation, the tears, and the determination to survive made Max’s story one of the most emotional moments in the entire series. That scene didn’t need a huge fight or an explosion to leave an impact. Her performance did the work.
And that’s what makes a truly memorable actress: the ability to make a fictional character feel like a real person.

In the middle of a city that’s already halfway to ash, King Valkyrie doesn’t bother with spells or warnings. She just lights the fuses.
Two bundles of dynamite, sparks flying, while the Scarlet Witch stands across the rubble with both hands burning red. No army behind either of them. No backup plan. Just the last of the Valkyrior and the woman who once tore reality apart, locked in a stare that says only one of them is walking out of this.
The columns are already broken. The ground’s on fire. And Valkyrie still looks like she’d rather blow the rest of the place up than let Wanda take one more step forward.

I was sixteen when my mother married a man I eventually learned to fear.
At first, my stepdad treated me like his own daughter. He bought me gifts, helped with school expenses, and always reminded my mother how much he cared about us.
But everything changed the night my mother traveled to visit her sister.
I was in my bedroom when he knocked on my door around midnight. He said he wanted to talk, but something about the way he looked at me made me uncomfortable.
He sat on my bed and started asking questions about my relationships. Before I could answer, he moved closer and tried touching me inappropriately.
I immediately pushed him away.
“You’re my daughter,” he whispered. “Don’t make this a big deal.”
I was shaking. I told him to leave my room, but he grabbed my wrist and warned me not to tell my mother because she would never believe me.

AITA for asking my sister not to use my stillborn daughter's name?
My younger sister recently announced that she's pregnant with her first child. My entire family, myself included, has been overjoyed for her and her partner. She's now 20 weeks along and working through the long list of preparations for welcoming a baby girl. She lives at home with our mother, while I live interstate with my wife and our two young daughters.
Some important background: my wife and I haven't had the easiest road to parenthood. We're blessed with the two children we have, but before our first successful pregnancy we suffered a devastating stillbirth that left us heartbroken. With the support of most of our family, we held a funeral to honor our little girl who never made it into the world. My sister didn't attend because of work commitments she "couldn't get out of," though she has since visited our daughter's grave.
