Eat butter by the spoonful and suddenly everyone’s a cardiologist.
Butter is 50% saturated fat by weight.
Meanwhile:
Kit Kat: 55% sugar
Nutella: 57% sugar
Smucker’s Strawberry Jam: 60% sugar
M&M’s: 64% sugar
But nobody wants to play doctor when you crush on these.
Ever since the sugar industry paid Harvard scientists to blame saturated fat for the problems sugar was probably causing, the health of Americans has been steadily trending downwards.

Laken Riley had a Garmin smartwatch on when she was attacked
Her heart rate jumped to 170 bpm which told investigators that was when she was being attacked
It lasted for 17 minutes then suddenly stopped - that's when the animal finally killed her
So the next time you want to tell me about how unfair illegal immigrants are being treated I want you to set a timer for 17 minutes and watch it go by so you can understand how long that young woman fought for her life

They'll remember whether you could:
- run with them
- play with them
- travel with them
- keep up with them

Western liberals imported the third world into France and other countries in the name of diversity and compassion. They ignored fundamental questions of assimilation and compatibility. They were told it would lead to this and they didn't listen.
I pray that France, a beautiful country of amazing people, will stop this madness before more of its landmarks burn.
And I hope Americans are paying attention. This is the future congressional Democrats seek for your country.

Wake up.
We have been living on this planet for 300,000 years. My stomach acid can dissolve bone. My gut was built to process food from the earth. Not from a laboratory.
My body was designed to hunt and to gather. Not one or the other. Both.
The war between meat eaters and vegetarians is not a biological argument. It is a manufactured one.
Humans ate from the earth for three hundred thousand years. Animals. Plants. Whatever the land provided. Both are ancestral. Both are real food. The body is the proof.
And while everyone fights over which real food is better, Big Food has you eating Frankenstein products that glow in the dark. 200 ingredients you cannot pronounce. Chemicals that belong in the battery of your car. Engineered in labs. Designed so you never feel full.
No one is asking who profits from the disease that follows.
Pharma does not care if you eat vegetables or meat. Pharma cares that you eat the products that make you sick. Because sick people are customers for life.
300,000 years of evolution did not design us to argue about food. It designed us to eat from the earth.
Stop fighting each other. Start asking who benefits from the war.

A 5-year-old girl plunged 49 feet from a moving cruise ship into the open ocean. Her father heard his wife screaming and raced toward the railing, only to discover that their daughter was gone.
It happened aboard the Disney Dream near the Bahamas, where a family vacation took a terrifying turn when the little girl fell from the ship’s fourth deck.
When her father realized what had happened, he jumped overboard after her, plunging nearly 50 feet into the ocean. But when he surfaced, he couldn’t see his daughter anywhere.
He began desperately calling out for her, searching the water until he finally heard her calling back. He swam toward her and managed to reach her, but they were still stranded in the open ocean as the massive cruise ship began turning around.
For roughly 20 minutes, he kept his little girl afloat, holding her above the water until a rescue boat finally reached them and brought them back to safety.
Both survived, although the father suffered two fractures in his spine from the fall.
It takes an incredible amount of courage to jump nearly 50 feet into the open ocean, not knowing what awaits you below. But this father didn’t hesitate to put his own life on the line for his little girl. Thank God they both made it home.

I sat across from my co-founder of Neo cardiac surgeon Dr Philip Ovadia who has opened hundreds of chests.
I asked him one question. What goes through your mind before every operation.
His answer stopped me cold.
"The healthcare system has failed that person on my operating table."
Not their genetics. Not their choices. The system.
We know what causes heart disease. We have known for years. But medicine has been chasing the wrong target.
While doctors focus on lowering cholesterol, three forces are silently destroying arterial walls from the inside.
Insulin resistance. Chronic inflammation. Metabolic dysfunction.
No one tests for them. No one treats them.
Instead, we are now screening teenagers for high cholesterol and putting children on medications. Because the only answer medicine has is to lower a number that was never the real problem.
The number one question patients ask before heart surgery is simple.
Why did this happen?
They took the medications. Ate the low fat diet. Followed every instruction they were given.
And they still ended up on the operating table.
After surgery, most of them come back. Another stent. Another bypass. Eventually heart failure.
Because nothing was done about what caused the disease in the first place.
The healthcare system does not try to stop heart disease.
It manages the damage. It slows the decline. It never asks whether the disease could go away.
This is Dr. Philip Ovadia. Cardiac surgeon. Co-founder of Neo Root.
This is the conversation that started everything.

And he's doing it at the BIRTHPLACE of the West.
Inject this into my veins. 🔥🔥
"The imagination of the western world. GENERATIONS of our statesmen...have looked to [Acropolis] with wonder, with awe."
"2.5 centuries after the founding of the American Republic...I stand here today as a Secretary of State of that republic...I stand here to testify to a debt that no lapse of time, no distance of space can ever extinguish."
"The history of America, of my country, is covered with the fingerprints of antiquity. Greece is literally carved into the architecture of our government."

Know the facts:
Himalayan salt contains up to 80 different minerals.
Celtic Sea Salt, a pure and unprocessed salt has 82 minerals.
Regular table salt is processed to remove ALL minerals & may contain an anti-caking agent called ferricyanides which breaks down into “cyanide”: deadly & toxic at high levels.
So they take out the minerals and add cyanide.
Why would anyone do that?

The most dangerous thing about prediabetes may be those 3 letters: “pre.”
They makes people think they’re not sick yet.
But by the time your A1C reaches the prediabetes range, insulin resistance has been developing for YEARS.

It’s evidence that something IS already wrong.

Sarcopenia isn’t just getting weaker with age.
A meta-analysis of cohort studies found it’s associated with a 42% higher relative risk of all-cause dementia.
Muscle is a metabolic and neurologic organ, not only for looks or stairs.
Low grip strength, slower gait, and a harder chair rise often show up together because they reflect the same cluster:
•Muscle quality
•Vascular health
•Inflammation
•Nutrition
•Activity
•Brain Networks
Function can fade alongside early cognitive vulnerability.
That’s why strength loss deserves attention, not just the scale.
You don’t need a fancy program. Build the insurance now:
Strength train at least twice a week with movements you can make harder, as you advance.
•Prioritize legs: chair squats, step-ups, hinges, calf raises
•Eat enough protein across meals, especially after training
•Track what matters: Can you rise from a chair smoothly? Carry groceries?
Pick one lower-body movement today.
Do two challenging, controlled sets. Repeat twice this week.
Has your grip, gait speed, or chair-rise changed in the last year?

I did something I haven’t done before as a frequent traveler. I knew this would be a long day and I wouldn’t get a chance to go to the gym or move around the usual amount. So here I am at London Heathrow Airport Terminal 3, and I decided that the couple of hours I had to kill before boarding the flight wouldn’t be spent lounging around. I would get up and walk around instead. One and a half hours brisk walking around the terminal and it's long walkways. Logged 10,500 steps on my pedometer watch while listening to my fave podcast. Quite enjoyable actually with the added benefit of resistance training as I was lugging my reasonably heavy carry-on!
The point of this post is not to gloat or say how amazing I am (because you already know that anyway :)). The point is that we can all make choices every day that prioritize our well-being. Small things add up over time, and it’s all about adopting a mindset where you’re always thinking about what you can do for your physical and mental health. Helped me feel good and energized before boarding the plane for the transatlantic flight ✈️

In 1980 a children's hospital would go years without seeing a case of type 2 diabetes. It was called adult-onset. It was in the name.
By 2000 American clinics were reporting it in 10-year-olds and the name had to be changed.
In 2026 there are children of 8 in Britain on metformin for a disease that used to take 60 years of living to acquire.
Over 1,500 children and teenagers in England and Wales now have it, and the number has doubled in a decade.
It arrives faster in a child, damages the kidneys faster, blinds faster, and the drugs that half-work in a 60-year-old barely work at all in a 12-year-old.
A child with type 2 at 12 will, on current numbers, lose about 15 years of life.
No child in human history had this disease before the packet. Not in the famines, not in the slums, not in the workhouse, not in the war.
They were raised on oat drink from one, cereal from two, a low-fat yoghurt in the lunchbox, the school toast with the spread on it, and a juice carton handed out as fruit.
Every item on that list was approved. Every item was on the poster.
The first generation of children in the history of the species to be given an old man's disease was the first generation fed entirely by the guidelines.
That is the trial. It has already been run. It was run on them.

As a Doctor, the goal should always be to get patients OFF medications, not on them. Let me explain.
Over the last few decades we have had a paradigm shift in medicine. The traditional role of a doctor was: somebody has a problem, the MD prescribes a therapeutic on a temporary basis to get the patient better. This has now shifted to "forever meds". And we have a massive over-prescription problem.
So here's how doctors should be thinking:
1. See any medication list. What's the EXIT STRATEGY to de-escalate the medicines on this list?
2. What lifestyle advice can I keep giving to eat cleaner, move more, reduce stress, get outdoors, sleep better, and get in better shape? Most medicines prescribed now are are for lifestyle-related conditions. Whether the patient follows through or not is irrelevant, the point is the doctor never stops trying to have an off ramp through lifestyle advice.
3. For conditions that may seem impossible to stop the medicines, for instance Type 1 Diabetes or a significant thyroid issue— is there a specialist center in a big city that is pioneering a cure? What other solutions exist? Again, this may or not be successful— but the point is the doctor is always thinking about ways to stop medicines in the future
When I see any medication list, my first instinct is to try to cut back on medicines and think of ways to do that. Whether we are talking about anti-depressants, other "mental health" medicines, antacids, blood pressure or cholesterol drugs. I want to see my patients OFF these drugs in the future. It may take days, weeks, or months under medical supervision: but that is always the goal.
And when the plan does work, there's no better feeling for me as a doctor of getting to STOP a prescription.
Pharmaceutical products can be life-saving, but the norm should be for people NOT to be on medicines, not as is currently happening: most people being on prescriptions. This is even more alarming because under 40s are now increasingly taking "forever" medicines. This does not bode well for the future health and wellbeing of the country.
We need a huge paradigm shift in medicine and the ways doctors are trained to think and practice medicine.

The four levels of health:
Level 1: Ignoring it
Level 2: Obsessing over it
Level 3: Building the right habits
Level 4: Living them without thinking about it
The reason to be healthy is so we can show up at our highest and best in all the roles we get to play: Spouse, parent, sibling, boss, employee, friend, grandparent etc. It will can make the whole world a better place.
