Building upon positive public support of the October 3 and October 16 protests against NYCACC’s regular and systematic weekly killing of healthy and adoptable dogs and cats, another protest is scheduled for Sunday November 15th at 1:00 pm at NYCACC’s facility located at 326 East 110th Street in Manhattan, NYC.
NYCACC’s euthanasia policies, procedures and goals are resulting in significant numbers of healthy and adoptable dogs and cats being needlessly killed each week by the NYCACC. Changes to these policies, procedures and goals can be made which will result in a significant reduction of healthy and adoptable dogs and cats that are killed each week.
Everyone is welcome to join the protest, bring your friends and share this post.
Let’s work hard to force changes at the Animal Care Centers (ACC) of New York City (NYC)
Please go to the corner of 110th Street & 1st Avenue at 12:30-1:00 pm.
Please ✍️ a DM if you plan to attend or have any questions.

Host: I don't even know what you're talking about right now. I asked you if there would be an election in Venezuela.

@NYCMayor @NYCMayorsOffice WHY ARE ANIMALS BEING K*LLED IN NYC SHELTERS WITHOUT EVEN APPEARING ON THE AT RISK LIST?
These are the so called SILENT K*LLS. Animals who may never get a public plea, never get the chance for a rescue to step forward, and never get the opportunity to find a home. Their lives end without the public even knowing they were in danger.
Your own “Animal Care Centers” acknowledge that animals can bypass the at risk list. Why? Who authorizes these decisions? How many healthy, treatable and adoptable animals are being k*lled this way?
A shelter should not be able to make an animal disappear before the public has a chance to save them. @nytimes @NYDailyNews

We just learned Idaho paid hunters $2,000 for every newborn wolf pup they killed. Meanwhile, Trump is working to weaken the Endangered Species Act, putting imperiled wildlife at even greater risk.
This is an abomination. There’s no undoing extinction.

Think of how it SHREDDED her 💔 to be UNABLE to save her OWN PUPPIES‼️🆘‼️🆘
Now she SHAKES in a corner.
She couldn't PROTECT her Babies because she was under ANESTHESIA & FULL TERM when they took them & SPAYED her. 😭😭😭😭😭😭
‼️We HAVE to start calling this what it is: Animal Cruelty!!!
Her HIDDEN AGONY ‼️
When "Rescuing" A Dog becomes a HEARTLESS Oxymoron.
At 2️⃣ yo MOMMA JUNE #A391207 lost EVERYTHING, simply because she ended up at #CorpusChristiACS
It was a MONSTROUS, INHUMANE act.
When you look at her sad, little face, please remember that this sweet 🐕 has known nothing but pain😥.
Can someone grant her some MERCY today? Please Pledge. She's LOCKED🔑 in a place that has only brought her agony.
Please Pledge, Foster, or Adopt.

Trump is more concerned about protecting his gold wallpaper than protecting Americans from high prices. The same man who tore down the East Wing now wants to lecture America about historic preservation. The hypocrisy is spectacular.
Trump: We have something that’s of great interest to a lot of people: the Oval Office and the Cabinet Room.
And I’m going to be signing a document which will make them into a landmark for the ages. It won’t be able to be taken down, destroyed, touched, or anything else.
It’s a federal landmark. And when completed, and when we get the documentation fully done, legally binding, it’ll make it impossible for anybody ever to destroy this incredible space.

New reporting reveals Trump’s Interior Secretary Doug Burgum has between $18.1M-$64.4M invested in AI companies looking to build data centers.
Burgum has strongly advocated for using public lands to build data centers and stands to profit off their development.

Last night, while you were sleeping or glued to the US election results, Musk spent over six hours deleting his posts and further tightening his algorithm.
Last night, we watched as Musk systematically erased all traces of the bots and trolls he used against you.
These small details don't go unnoticed by some of us.
Perhaps they do for you, since you still consider him a genius who suffers for the poor Russians sent for money to kill Ukrainians.

The Affordability and Jobs Act sounds like your electric bill. Unbelievably, it's about making it nearly impossible for the next president to undo what Trump is doing to our public lands.
PERMITS LOCKED IN. Once a federal permit is issued, a future admin can't pull it back unless it proves it in court. Unless an exception applies, period. If it can't, the company can sue the FedGov and be paid up to half of what it's already spent out of the U.S. Treasury.
And if the next president approves fewer due to caution, companies can sue the FedGov for half to all of what they expected to spend building them. The yardstick will be the last 5 years, the Trump years.
COURTS CAN'T STOP IT. The bulldozers keep going. If a judge finds a Fed agency broke the law on an environmental review, the only remedy is sending it back to fix its paperwork. No injunction, no canceling the permit. And you'd only have 150 days to sue instead of up to six years.
MINING ON SACRED GROUND. The bill overturns the 2022 ruling that blocked the Rosemont mine in Arizona from dumping nearly 2 billion tons of waste rock on public land with various Indigenous nations' burial sites. Miners could claim as many waste dumps on public land as they "reasonably need," for $400 a year per five-acre site.
TRIBES CUT OUT. Under this bill, agencies would not have to consult any Indigenous Tribes before approving projects that could harm sacred sites.
WILDLIFE. States could apply to take over endangered species reviews from federal scientists. Fifty states, fifty budgets, and Earthjustice says no federal backstop if they fail. States often get a cut of timber and mining money from federal land. The review clock shrinks from 90 days to 60.
WATER. The EPA would lose its power to veto wetlands permits, the power used to stop the Pebble Mine at Bristol Bay. (See my reply.)
The Senate vote is expected Monday, Nov. 9. That's why it's so urgent to call your senators. The bill is bipartisan. If you want to know more about who drafted it, that's in my first reply.
