Reasons to love the Cincinnati Reds.
#1: The true Big Red Machine
Why didn’t I visit 77 different ballparks this season?
A New Jersey-based fan named Rev Ciancio visited 77 different ballparks this season. At each one, he would get a hot dog with mustard, eat it after “Take Me Out to the Ballgame,” and grade it. Here are his top 10:
10. Joliet Slammers (National Association of Professional Baseball): A “rock solid” offering.
9. Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs (Triple-A PHI): “Exactly what a ballpark hot dog is supposed to taste like.”
8. Sussex County Miners (National Association of Professional Baseball): “They’re the only team that I’ve been to that has a ripper, where they’re actually deep-frying the hot dog.”
7. Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple-A COL): “It’s almost foul to highlight how good the hot dog was because there’s so much good there.”
6. Boston Red Sox: “This is one of the Major League stadiums where the lore of the hot dog holds true.”
5. Richmond Flying Squirrels (Double-A SF): “It was just a well-rounded hot dog. Like there was magic and you don’t know why.”
4. Brooklyn Cyclones (High-A NYM): “It’s part of their culture to have a good hot dog.”
3. Chicago Cubs: “I feel like Chicago teams have a right and a duty to produce good hot dogs.”
2. Chicago Dogs (American Association): The poppyseed bun was an “ingredient difference maker.”
1. Reading Fightin Phils (Double-A Phillies): “When you eat a hot dog at Reading, it’s as though every single hot dog was individually cooked. One person took one hot dog and made sure it was perfect.”

Virginia’s best player is the preseason ACC player of the year and he’s like 50 years old and played professionally overseas. I would have hated that back in the day, but if everyone is doing it, I’m glad he’s on my team.

I mean, just an all-time TV segment. Making Chuck do Who He Play For multiple times in a row with the same players is a brilliant idea and I was legit crying laughing by the end, my god.
It’s time for all of you to get on the bandwagon.
The Sixers are a mere 80 wins away from an undefeated season. New @RTRSPodcast rightstorickysanchez.com/p/p…
Todd Benzinger wasn’t the greatest Red of all time, but he will always be the guy that caught this pop up to secure a World Series. We’ll remember him always.
RIP.
During the third reconciliation of the last of the Meketrex supplicants, they chose a new form for him - that of a giant Sloar!
Many Shubs and Zuuls knew what it was to be roasted in the depths of a Sloar that day, I can tell you!

Sad to hear of the passing of my friend and teammate Todd Benzinger. Condolences to the family and thank you Todd for always being a stand up guy
Yes. The Reds should sign every living player from the 1990 Reds and run it back.
Would be interesting, at least.
Milwaukee vs. Tampa Bay in the World Series.
Explain to me like I’m 5 years old why the Reds can’t be a competitive MLB team in this market.
This is true. Sweet Lou was my favorite non-Red when I was growing up. It’s a crime that he isn’t in the Hall of Fame.
