Writing this in my personal capacity, but I have been flying these types of aircraft for more than 20 years, with over 8,000 hours, and have reasonable familiarity with how the charter world operates. I feel compelled to post after seeing commentary about the Lear 60 crash, from missile strikes to DEI to critiquing this poor woman’s final radio calls. That last part is what I find most troubling. She was the second-in-command (SIC), and while she was empowered to point out mistakes as part of good crew resource management, she was doing her job, communicating with ATC right to the end in a terrifying situation. She likely knew before many of those calls that she was going to die. I have heard final calls from friends, from military pilots with thousands of hours in fighter aircraft, and they are just as heartbreaking because they know the end is approaching. I understand the public interest given the footage and audio. But you do not know the aircraft’s maintenance history, whether there was a structural failure, if any failure was induced by turbulence, overspeed, or overcontrol, or everything happening in that cockpit. I am sure weather will be part of the investigation, but beyond that, it is speculation. The charter industry routinely hires commercial pilots very early in their careers to gain experience alongside an ATP-qualified captain before they move up to the airlines. She would still have the appropriate training, qualifications, and checkouts by an FAA examiner or designee. Let people investigate, learn, and share the facts. Be respectful to those who perished and the families who carry their memories. God bless them and their loved ones.

We are literally doomed American High School English Teacher reads real responses from her student’s assignment after reading The Great Gatsby We have a serious education issue in America and if we don’t address it, we have a horrible future ahead of us These kind of responses are to be expected because 12th grade reading results in 2024 in America showed that reading levels right now the lowest they’ve ever been since the assessment began in 1992

75 words a minute in week one. I'm in the VOICE trial, so I know how much work is behind a number like that. It's not magic. It's a lot of very patient people. ALS took my voice. Science is negotiating to get it back. 🎤

Never forget. Never again. May her memory be a blessing.
Libi Cohen-Meguri was murdered on October 7th at just 22 years old. She went to dance at the Nova festival and was shot by Hamas terrorists while trying to escape on Route 232. At 8:11 AM, she called her parents: “I’ve been shot in the stomach, I’ve been shot in the arm, I’m losing blood. I’m going to die.” In calm and heartbreaking words, she understood the end had come. She asked to speak to her twin brother Tomer and little sister Maya: “I’m going to die. Just listen. I love you, Yariv — the best dad I could’ve had. Mom, please stop screaming, just listen — you’re the best mom we could have asked for. Don’t forget to be a good mom to Tomer and Maya. Tomer, how lucky we were to live life together. I love you. Maya, never forget you are the treasure of my life.” Her parents begged her to lie on the road and pretend to be dead. She did. But the terrorists saw her move. “Mom, they’re coming to shoot me again...” Screams in Arabic. A long burst of gunfire. And the call was cut. Alone on the road divider, her body was riddled with bullets at point-blank range. Murdered in cold blood. But Libi was light. Joy. Love. A proud and outstanding IDF infantry officer, full of life and laughter, always giving to others. Her photos radiate kindness. Her memory will live forever.

May her memory be a blessing.
Lin Dafni — a Jewish Israeli young woman — died age 22 when she was tragically killed in the "Death Ambulance" at the Nova fest. It was hit with an RPG during the Hamas suprise attack. According to Lihie Gilhar, everyone was knocked unconscious inside. The ambulance — in which Jewish ravergoers were hiding in — then set ablaze. Not a single body was left instact. Before her death, Lin was an amatuer designer with two siblings who loved her parents. Before her death, she managed to text nine words to her parents: "Mom, we're in a terror attack. I love you." Rest in peace, Lin. Death age 22.
