Next year, 300,000+ Virginians are likely to lose their Medicaid because of Trump’s cuts. It’s unconscionable. While Trump gets billions richer, he purposefully strips Americans of their health care. We MUST reverse these cuts.

If animals ran the world, war would not exist. Human egos make us feel superior. But our actions and inactions loudly declare the opposite. But then there are exceptional human beings like Jesse Adams, killed in Ukraine this wk, while rescuing animals. RIP

He’s right. Feds blocking state and local law enforcement from the investigation reeks of a cover up. If ICE has nothing to hide, let us see the evidence.

Just a casual reminder that Germans who “didn’t bother to vote” in 1932 didn’t get a chance again until 1946, after Hitler’s death. — There’s a lesson there.

Many crises in our world today are fundamentally about power: Who holds it & who is denied it. Nowhere is the power imbalance more glaring than that most ancient & universal form of inequality: between women & men. But gender equality isn't just a matter of rights. It's central to building just & lasting peace.

The Trump admin says they don't want criminals coming into our country. Unless they're just as corrupt as he is.

Five years ago, I appeared on a BBC Newsnight special with Katie Razzall, exposing the shocking reality of children being placed in unregulated accommodation, without proper safeguards, oversight or accountability. We exposed a system that was failing its most vulnerable children. Since then, we've seen children abused, exploited by criminal gangs and, tragically, lives lost. Five years later, we're still having the same conversations. More reviews. More reports. More promises. Millions of pounds of taxpayers money spent, yet children continue to be failed. How many more reviews do we need? How many more children must suffer? How many more lives must be lost before we finally act? We don't need another conversation about change. We need change. Enough is enough.

Far-right groups across France have been attacking protesters in front of police and then running behind police lines to safety. Hundreds of thousands across the country marched to protest austerity measures and rising costs of living on Oct. 24.

Exactly what we need in the absence of a functioning U.S. Department of Justice. An organization of ex-prosecutors and investigators who help can put cases together for current and future prosecutors who will restore accountability for corrupt federal officials and those who benefit from that corruption.
We are facing a crisis of impunity. That's why we built The Rule of Law Project — to investigate unlawful conduct by federal officials, and work with state and local prosecutors to hold them to account. Watch former DOJ prosecutor Mark Blumberg and human rights leader Brad Adams launch this critical accountability initiative on MSNOW with Nicolle Wallace.
