ao3 has only been down for a few days and this is what fandom feels like right now.
- google drive discord
- writers being harassed, mocked, disrespected
- ao3 knockoff sites that repost and monetize fanfics without writers’ consent or knowledge

BTW: my feelings on my fic being shared used to be fairly laissez-faire but the level of cruelty & entitlement in the recent discourse as people hurl abuse at writers has changed my stance. i don't want any of my fic reuploaded anywhere unless i have given explicit permission.

The way people are treating artists while ao3 is down shows how much fandom has turned into a society of consumption. Fan content is so readily available they think it's owed to them. It's not. Artists donate their time and skills to the community.
Having you and that army of pups in the background was quite the interesting ambience😅 See you tomorrow Father of The Year. #KyrioCifer #KyrioKlips
Find it ironic how many people are slinging abuse, slurs, and bigotry at writers for saying that they want to utilize the protections they have over their work. No one forget this behavior when AO3 comes back up. When people show you who they really are, believe them. Stay safe.

Remember, if your vote didn’t matter, they wouldn’t be working so hard to stop you from casting it.

Most of the people I’ve seen changing their mind on this whole Drive thing say the catalyst was talking to a writer friend.
So it makes sense that so many other people are being so obstinate. They don’t have writer friends. They’d have to participate in community for that.
Get out & vote! For the love of God & all that's good, VOTE BLUE! & whether we win 1 or more of the majorities back from Republicans or not you can't stop fighting. We have lots of work cut out for us in the years ahead, but nothing's impossible if we work together! #Midterms2026
Nearly had a fainting spell tonight. Thankfully, I noticed the symptom that signals a black out is coming. I finished getting ready for bed & lied down before any fireworks or darkness started creeping into my vision. Felt nauseous & tired but the pass out never came. Go me...ig?

Watching Google take down drives because they’ve garnered millions of hits worth of traffic and contain tons of materials clearly prohibited by the TOS, and their owners losing their minds because they used their MAIN REAL LIFE GMAIL ACCOUNTS 💀
