The Washington Post is fabricating this out of whole cloth. I have not reached out to anybody about running for anything. Just another pathetic attempt to garner clicks.
Using anonymous sources of course!

Thank you, @ScottPresler, for your tireless efforts to support election security, the SAVE America Act, and Republican voter turnout.
I know I’m not alone in saying that literally no one has worked harder and no one has been more effective.
I spent much of this year traveling the country with @ScottPresler to build support for the SAVE America Act. In recent months, we went to New Hampshire, Wisconsin, Maine, and Pennsylvania to knock doors and get out the vote.
Scott left a full Pennsylvania operation with 80+ paid staffers so he could headline events, train new people, and bring more voters and activists into the fold. He has registered countless people, makes the effort to remember their names, and treats every volunteer like an equal.
If you haven't seen it, Tucker mocked him viciously for that. I won't share that video here. I have never seen Scott mock anyone. And the response below by Scott is indicative of his nature.
What doors did Tucker knock this cycle? How many activists did he train? While Scott was chasing votes, Tucker was turning on President Trump and defending Abdul El-Sayed in Michigan.
Scott gave his all to try to build a victory for Republicans. Tucker sat behind a microphone, black-pilling everyone and trying to tear it all down.

If Republican organizations are going to call fellow Republican patriots “demon worshippers,” we deserve to lose.
I’m Catholic. I’ve heard the same crap about my own faith from people who couldn’t tell you what Catholics actually believe. You’d think we’d know better than to turn around and do it to Sikhs.
Sikhs worship one God and reject idol worship. And the Catholic Church, which teaches that the fullness of religious life is found in Christ, also teaches that we should recognize what is true and holy in other faiths.
We have enough trouble persuading people to vote Republican. Why the hell are we picking fights with the people who already do?

This is yet another example of where the New Right has led us. This is what happens when you make excuses for the fringe in the movement. When there are no consequences for bad ideas.

Nothing says an age of rage like running on a beat down. Democrat Richard Ojeda, who was just elected to Congress, has declared that he would be "happy to go to jail" if he has a chance to physically assault the incoming Chief of Staff Stephen Miller.

If you don't see the problem with this, you're already lost, and if you do see the problem with this and are not making fixing it your number one priority, you're responsible for what happens next.

A few years ago, jarred by a tragedy, I set out on a road trip across America with no schedule and no idea when I'd return. In Arizona, early in the trip, I met a Hopi man who'd lost his wife in a terrible accident and been wandering ever since. He wished me well but warned me not to travel for too long. I asked him what "too long" was.
"When you stop feeling homesick, you've been away too long," he said. "Make sure to turn back while you're still homesick."
This book is the true story of that two-month journey and the surprising things I learned along the way, some of them difficult, some profoundly hopeful. It will be published in June but you can preorder it now, and I hope you will. It helps a book catch on.
I wrote it for you, about us.
