Look at the Trump-appointed judges and administration officials confirmed by the Republican-controlled Senate since January 2025. Things will be different with 54 or more Democrats... washingtonexaminer.com/daily…

As if government wasn't already divided. The Republicans in the Senate were already obstructing.

The GOP ran some outrageously poor candidates in many key races
Irrespective of who endorsed them, or how they rate on cable news, maybe we can talk about this honestly after tonight

Texas just gave a Senate seat to a sexually ambiguous anti-meat communist who needs 14 days of solitude to recover from a sniffle

Just want to point out that Talarico had massive turnout, a great environment, and the worst possible opponent....and still got 500k less votes than @JohnCornyn did in his last election.

The war with the resulting high gas prices driving up costs along with tariff cost increases were clearly part of MAGA's downfall but there were many other factors. – at Wyndham, VA

Sean is really, really, really hoping nobody notices how far Trump slid in public approval before the war amidst unpopular tariffs. Also, by "neocons" he means anyone who thought nominating Donald Trump in 2024 was a good idea. This is what Trump leadership looks like. Trump could have gone to Congress. He could have defined war aims. He did none of what some of us Iran hawks urged him from Day One to do. And yes, I wrote all that publicly from the very start. Unlike Sean, I don't have to delete my past writings to cover my tracks.
Marc Thiessen is the Anthony Fauci of 2026. Trump was on a glide path to the most successful presidency in modern history, and Thiessen rolled in, fed him a bunch of lies, destroyed his approval ratings with neocon forever war nonsense, and left him with a smoking crater where Republicans used to be standing.
Erickson is full of 💩 but he nails a lot of truths with some embellishments.
Trump seemingly tried to do so much that he destroyed his 2nd term.
Some were important.
Some were unnecessary. – at Wyndham, VA
It was gas prices.
It was the war.
It was also the corruption.
The incompetence.
The tariffs.
The playing nice with Russia.
The impression of cruelty.
The overly aggressive deportations.
The accidental arrests of American citizens who were Hispanic.
The arrogance.
The ballroom.
The reflecting poll.
The golf courses.
The arch.
The Qatari 747.
The aggressive redistricting push.
The threats against enemies.
This is our only hope for anything good from yesterday.
A new beginning. – at Wyndham, VA
Peggy Noonan wants Republicans to lose big so the GOP will have to rebuild. But not so the old GOP establishment can return. "It will never return. The GOP establishment of 1990-2016 ran things into the ground, is discredited and over. Also, they're 80." wsj.com/opinion/the-case-for…

BREAKING NEWS: Trump is the first authoritarian/dictator/fascist/king to be defeated by midterm elections.
Democrats will now obstruct his agenda just like they did before. More dumb rallies, attacking ICE, and using partisan activist judges to stop progress. Oh how terrible.

And so it begins. Representative Robert Garcia (D-CA), the expected chair of the House Oversight Committee (if the Democrats take the House), just posted a two-word message: "Lawyer up."...
