“It is 4 games in— I would caution everyone about that… these teams always take time when you bring in a player like Giannis (Antetokounmpo).”
— @ShamsCharania
Zach Lowe on the Giannis and Bam pairing amid the Heat’s early season struggles:
“It’s just very crowded and they’re out of sync playing with each other in tight spaces… I’m mildly worried about the Heat.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo on the Heat’s 0-4 start:
"Am I surprised? I think a little bit, a little bit surprised. But there's 78 more games to go. You just gotta keep on getting better."

Bam has been very good player and citizen and franchise ambassador, but the better response last night would have been: "I'm not playing well enough and I need to play better."
Despite another masterful 29 points, 14 rebounds and 11 assists Giannis triple-double, the Heat have remained winless after dropping their fourth straight to the visiting Mavs.

Four of the Heat’s top 8 have been way below expectations:
Klay
Bam
THJ
Wiggins
Larsson played closer to expectations tonight. But Mitchell and Portis have been the only relative bright spots.

Davion Mtichell on how he can help Bam get going:
"I have to do a better job of not letting him get lost in the game, but he also has to be intentional. He gotta be more aggressive. Him and Giannis play in the same spaces so when Giannis is on the floor with him, he can't be in those same spaces."
“My shot’s not going in. I’m not gonna overthink that… the outside noise wants to make me the scapegoat. But when the energy shifts, be prepared for that.”

Spo on Bam's struggles:
"He just needs to see the ball go in. He had some good clean looks. Just wasn't able to capitalize on them. But I know, I know his, his makeup, man. His resiliency. We'll work together to find a way to get him aggressive in his spots where he's, where he's comfortable."

Heat becomes NBA's 1st 0-4 team. Simply cannot win with this little production from Bam, Wiggins, Klay, Hardaway.... 0-3 Bucks trying to avoid matching Heat. They've surged ahead of Pacers behind big nights from Herro and Ware.

Spo: "Yeah, it's disappointing for sure. You know this, this is not the the start anybody wanted, but it's happened. So we have to address what's in front of us and we need to continue to get more consistent with our game.
And defense was better for certain parts of the game. Gave up a big three and then a drive to flag there at the end. Our offense, we need to get back to playing with a vertical space but then also the half-court pace and putting it all together.
You know, and we'll get there. But yeah, I can see and feel like how much our guys want to play well and it's not happening. So we have to just manage that and show the fortitude just to continue, you know, to grind until we get a breakthrough."
Giannis Antetokounmpo has done as much as he possibly could for the Heat:
29 PTS
15 RBS
11 ASTS
12/23 FGM
2/4 3PM
Klay Thompson and Tim Hardaway Jr. were brought here to be the shooters this team desperately needed.
Another game, another dud for both. Miami needs more than this.
I expected growing pains. I bought into the Year 2 of the build gimmick. But didn’t expect 0-4, with another two tough matchups to follow— and just how bad these losses have been.
With Giannis not signed yet, I just hope they can salvage enough to get to Year 2.
Andrew Wiggins just air balled a 3 and then got blown by Cooper Flagg defensively with the game on line
