just heard someone say "people are more important than the economy" and it occurred to me that some people genuinely believe that others care about the economy because they like numbers going up and not because it drives living standards for the population

The reason "Suicidal Empathy" as an explanation for the negative effects of how women vote rubs me the wrong way, is that it seems to whitewash women’s psychology. Instead of admitting that women have certain tendencies it's: “Look how much they care, they’re just TOO good.” Just look at the research:

My uncle did a mission trip to Africa to teach a village how to raise pigs for food. They flew in with a bunch of pigs, built pens for them, Food and water troughs, and taught them how to breed them so they could always have meat. Two weeks of work and teaching. They went back a year later to check on the village. They had thrown a giant party the night after my uncle left, slaughtered and ate all the pigs, sold the feeders and fencing, and were really pissed off that the mission didn't bring them more pigs.

This is the academic journal for men, devoted specifically to the study of masculine manhood, btw.
🚨ALERT: The editors of the journal Men and Masculinities will no longer allow authors to refer to individuals as being "male." If an author uses the term, they should "specify which dimension(s) of sex are at issue, since sex itself refers to several only loosely correlated dimensions rather than a single underlying fact." For example, trans-identifying male swimmer Lia Thomas must be referred to as a woman, and his maleness, if mentioned at all, must be attached to specific traits, like genitals, hormones, and chromosomes. You cannot call Lia Thomas a "male" in this journal, but a woman with "male genitals" and "male sex chromosomes." The first author of this editorial—the Managing Editor of Men and Masculinities, Tristen Kade—is a woman who identifies as a man. The model of biological sex this editorial is pushing is what I refer to in my scholarly article "Why There Are Exactly Two Sexes" as the "multi-level" sex model. This model is not merely wrong—it is self-refuting. From my article: "Traits are labeled 'male-typical' or 'female-typical' only because they correlate with organisms already identified as male or female—an identification that, in anisogamous species, is made ultimately by reference to gametes." The billionaire in a private jet who would give it all back to be young again… The millionaire flying first class who wants to own his own jet… The businessman in a fancy sports car dreaming of becoming a millionaire… The employee in a cheap old car who wants a fancy sports car… The unemployed cyclist who just wants a job and a cheap old car… The pedestrian who wishes he had a bike so he didn’t have to walk everywhere…. The paralyzed man in a wheelchair who would give everything to walk again… All while the terminally ills’ only wish is to be healthy again…. You’ll never stop wanting more until you learn to be grateful for having things instead of getting them.

My post about Hitler and the far right got millions of views. Clearly, it hit a nerve. So today I'm going to show you, step by step, why the notion of "far right" as it's used in France makes almost no sense. And why the people who wield it are usually the last ones who should be lecturing anyone. Let's start with the only question that matters: what makes a political system work or fail? To a very large extent, it's the economy. A country that produces wealth, that lets its citizens create, trade and build, stays standing. A country that destroys that collapses, no matter how beautiful its slogans are. And in economics, there are really only two worldviews. The first is collectivism. The idea that the State knows better than you. That it must plan production, set prices, run companies, decide what you earn, what you buy, and eventually what you think. The individual is just a cog serving a grand collective project: the class, the nation, the race, the people. The second is freedom. Capitalism, property, individual liberty, individual responsibility. The idea that millions of people creating value for one another produce infinitely more prosperity than an office of planners, however brilliant they may be. Now look at the list of the great totalitarian regimes of the 20th century. Stalin: total planning, forced collectivization, millions dead. Mao: the Great Leap Forward and the deadliest famine in human history. Pol Pot: money abolished, cities emptied, nearly a quarter of Cambodia's population exterminated. Mussolini, the man who coined the word fascism: "Everything within the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State." And Hitler, leader of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, whose program proclaimed "the common good before individual good." He subjected the entire German economy to State plans: the Four-Year Plan, frozen prices and wages, unions dissolved into a single state labor front, industrialists producing whatever the regime decided. Their flags were different. Their designated enemies were different. But the machinery was the same: the individual doesn't exist, only the collective matters, and the State decides everything. Why does it always end in totalitarianism? Because collectivism doesn't work. And when a system doesn't work, it has only two options: admit failure or force people. They always choose force. Ludwig von Mises proved it as early as 1920: without free prices, without a market, a planner simply cannot know what to produce, how much, or at what cost. He is flying blind. A planned economy isn't a less efficient version of the market. It's an impossibility. Friedrich Hayek drew the political conclusion in 1944 in The Road to Serfdom, a book he dedicated "to the socialists of all parties." One chapter is titled "The Socialist Roots of Naziism." Another, "Why the Worst Get on Top." For Hayek, controlling the economy isn't controlling one sector among others. It is "the control of the means for all our ends." Whoever controls your bread controls your life. Then your speech. Then your thoughts. Milton Friedman put it his own way: a society that puts equality before freedom ends up with neither. So we know exactly what works. It's not an opinion. It's a century of real-world experiments. Listen to the Austrian school, Mises and Hayek, with Friedman from Chicago alongside them: economic freedom, limited government, individual responsibility. And this is where we get to the great accusatory inversion. Part of the left-wing press spends its time screaming fascism. Why? Because the fascism fantasy is the best way to never talk about the track record of their own ideas. Deep down, they know: if their collectivist program were applied all the way, it wouldn't work, because a collective economy cannot work. And an economy that doesn't work always ends up having to coerce, surveil and ban. In other words, it becomes exactly what they claim to be fighting. The real heirs of totalitarian logic are not the ones being pointed at. So who gets called "far right" in 2026? People who want safe cities. People who want to keep their culture. People who just want to live a peaceful life, raise their kids, and not have to board up their shop every weekend. People who want the law to apply to everyone. If that's the far right, then the word no longer means anything. And maybe that was the point.
It's been months that I keep saying Hitler was far left. Every time, thousands of clowns show up in my replies to give me history lessons. So I made a video to answer all these low IQ takes at once. Topic closed. Next.

Women place an incredible number of totally made-up burdens on themselves, and this is virtually all of "mental load." Not one good-wife across all of history perfected the cooking of 365 different meals, made 30 of them each month, and threw away the leftovers after that day. It's totally fine for Thursday to just be "pork chop night," Friday to be fish, hubs to grill on the weekends.

Elon Musk understands something that the political establishment desperately wants people to forget. Government isn’t some magical institution that protects you from concentrated corporate power. It is concentrated power. And unlike corporations, it has the legal authority to use force against you. Now imagine giving that power to a global government. One political hierarchy. Billions of people. No competing jurisdiction to escape to. No meaningful alternative when the people in charge decide your rights are inconvenient. That’s not progress. That’s the blueprint for the most terrifying monopoly in human history. Look at what’s happening across Europe. More authority concentrated in distant institutions. More regulatory power. More restrictions on speech. More decisions made by people ordinary citizens can barely hold accountable. The answer has always been decentralization, private property, free markets, and the freedom to walk away. Yet the political left keeps demanding more centralization, more bureaucracy, and more authority over ordinary people. And somehow they call that liberation. What a fucking joke.
Replying to @Rothmus
Those who are opposed to corporations and favor government do not realize that government is simply the largest, most monopolistic corporation of all and it has a monopoly on violence.
