IMO ADC: IHEDIOHA RALLIES PARTY LEADERS, CANDIDATES, REAFFIRMS CONFIDENCE AHEAD OF 2027 POLLS By Ihezie Dede Walax The leader of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State and former Governor of the state, His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, CON, on Saturday, November 7, 2026, convened a strategic meeting of party leaders and candidates in Owerri, the state capital, to strengthen internal unity, build confidence among candidates and reaffirm the party’s preparedness for the 2027 general elections. The meeting brought together key party leaders and candidates to encourage continued commitment to the ADC, address concerns arising from recent political developments and reinforce confidence in the party’s ability to participate in the forthcoming elections. The gathering was primarily focused on reassuring candidates, strengthening internal cohesion and ensuring that all party stakeholders remained focused on their political responsibilities. The meeting also provided an opportunity for the leadership to review the party’s level of preparedness, reinforce coordination across its structures and encourage candidates to sustain their engagement with the electorate. The gathering formed part of the party’s ongoing efforts to maintain regular communication with its leaders and candidates, particularly following the purported judgment by Justice Peter Odo Lifu of the Federal High Court in Abuja on November 5, 2026. Addressing the Leaders, Ihedioha expressed satisfaction with the confidence demonstrated by the party’s leaders and candidates despite distractions from Justice Peter Odo Lifu court judgment. He urged them not to panic or allow fear and uncertainty to distract them from their preparations for the 2027 general elections. The former governor assured the candidates that there was no cause for alarm, maintaining that the ADC remained organised, prepared and focused on its electoral objectives. He encouraged them to remain confident in the party’s leadership, continue their political activities and avoid being discouraged by developments surrounding the judgment. Ihedioha emphasised that the party’s priority was to maintain unity, strengthen its structures and ensure that candidates remained committed to their respective constituencies. He urged them to continue engaging with the electorate, building relationships with supporters and preparing for the responsibilities ahead rather than allowing uncertainty to disrupt their efforts. “Do not panic. Do not entertain any fear. There is no cause for alarm. Remain focused and continue your preparations. The ADC is organised and prepared for the 2027 general elections,” was the central message of reassurance conveyed at the meeting. Ihedioha maintained that the party remained focused on its preparations and expressed confidence that the ADC would be on the ballot in the 2027 general elections. He encouraged the candidates to remain steadfast, continue their engagement with the people and trust the party’s ongoing efforts to address the issues arising from the court judgment. The former Deputy Governor of Imo State, His Excellency, Engr. Gerald Irona, also addressed the gathering, stressing the importance of unity, discipline and confidence among party leaders and candidates. He encouraged party faithful to remain committed to the ADC and maintain close contact with their supporters across their respective constituencies. Irona underscored the need for candidates to remain focused on grassroots engagement and continue building their political structures. He encouraged them to work together, maintain confidence in the party’s leadership and approach the current situation with patience and determination. The National Vice Chairman of the ADC, South East, Sir Bon Unachukwu, also spoke at the meeting, emphasising the importance of solidarity, effective communication and coordination between the party’s national and state leadership. He encouraged the Imo State

Election is not a popularity contest. You can be popular like wizkid and still lose like Sowore. Power belongs to the most organized and to those who are willing to grab it, snatch it, and run away with it. Nigeria Must be OK ✌🏾

PRESS STATEMENT IN 1993, I LAID ABTI’S FOUNDATION; TINUBU FORFEITED $460,000 IN THE U.S. — ATIKU Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has condemned President Bola Tinubu’s latest attack on his investment in education, describing it as a desperate attempt to distract Nigerians from the failure of his administration. In a statement issued by the Director of Strategic Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku said: “Again, Bola Tinubu has told Nigerians why they should not allow him to continue as president after his first tenure. He also chose to question my investment in education and ask how I built an educational institution while serving as Vice President. “The answer is simple: my investment in education predates my time in public service. In 1993, while a U.S. court ordered the forfeiture of funds in an account in your name, describing them as proceeds of narcotics trafficking or funds involved in unlawful financial transactions, I was laying the foundation for ABTI Academy. That Academy has since grown into the American University of Nigeria. “That moment captures the difference between us. My history is traceable. I can show Nigerians how I built my name, achieved success in business and entered public leadership. Your own history remains clumsy and foggy. You cannot erase it by attacking my record in education. “A president who has plunged the country into a crushing cost-of-living crisis has no business asking Nigerians for another mandate. The real conversation about the 2027 election is how to repair the damage your government has done. “You say Nigeria cannot return to subsidy and must move forward. But you cannot even tell Nigerians where you are taking them. Forward into deeper poverty, mounting debt, insecurity and mass unemployment? “Since your inauguration in 2023, your leadership has become synonymous with hardship, pain and despair. Your record is a working example of how a country should not be led. You have created poverty on an industrial scale, pushing more than 79 million Nigerians into extreme poverty. “Your campaign’s Director-General says hungry Nigerians are simply lazy. He delivered that statement in grammar so badly constructed it could wake the dead. This government does not even believe Nigerians are hungry. How can you solve a problem you refuse to acknowledge? “You created poverty, then insult the people suffering from it. You attack my Affordable Life campaign, but the people you are really attacking are the millions of Nigerians desperate for relief from your failed leadership. “Bola, Nigerians have tested your leadership. The verdict is clear: you are a disaster. In Yoruba culture, I am told, a calabash of pepper represents hostile leadership, while a calabash of honey represents hospitable leadership. Yours is a calabash of pepper. “You say Nigeria will never return to subsidised petrol prices. You are wrong. By the grace of the Almighty and with the mandate of the Nigerian people, I will restore a transparent, production-based subsidy tied to the local refining of fuel. Nigerians will benefit directly through lower energy costs, including the prices of petrol and diesel. “My administration will make deliberate investments in social welfare and end the opaque system your government uses to divert money meant for economically vulnerable Nigerians. “You attack my campaign because you know what it represents: an alternative to the hardship you have imposed on the people. You want me off the ballot at all costs, but the will of the Nigerian people will prevail. I will be on that ballot, and I will beat you decisively. “After three and a half years in office, you have no achievements to campaign on. Your own record of failure is the strongest campaign against you. My Affordable Life campaign will not be silenced by your insults or your threats. I will lead Nigeria back to prosperity, growth and development.”

NOVEMBER 7, 2026 PRESS STATEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE 570% FUEL PRICE INCREASE: TAKE CUE FROM US VOTERS, ADC URGES NIGERIANS — Says Cost of Living Remains Central in January Elections The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has said that the outcome of the recent United States midterm elections, in which Americans voted to replace the ruling Republican Party in Congress amidst a nearly 37 per cent increase in fuel prices in several states, points the way for Nigerian voters grappling with a 570 per cent increase in petrol prices since President Bola Tinubu removed fuel subsidies in May 2023. Earlier, the opposition party had urged Nigerians to emulate the Americans in the immediate aftermath of the US midterm elections, in which the ruling Republican Party suffered a crushing defeat. But as the shockwaves of the election continue to reverberate across the world, the party has now claimed that the outcome of the US election confirms its own position that the cost of living and affordability have become major issues in determining electoral outcomes, urging Nigerians to take a cue from this as the country heads to the polls in January. “The lesson from America is simple: governments must answer to the people for their economic decisions. In January, the cost of living must be at the centre of Nigeria’s democratic choice,” the party said in a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, on Saturday. “On Tuesday, American voters were responding to fuel-price increases of about 37 per cent. Nigerians have experienced a far steeper increase, with average petrol prices rising from N238.11 per litre in May 2023 to N1,596.25 by May 2026, translating to about a 570 per cent increase.” The party explained that an increase of 570 per cent in petrol prices is not just an economic statistic, but the reason transportation has become unaffordable, food prices have risen and small businesses are struggling to survive. “Every Nigerian household is paying the price for the APC and Tinubu’s failed policies,” the statement said, adding that while the government has continued to ask Nigerians to make sacrifices for a better future, more than three years later, the government has failed to show how the removal of subsidies could possibly benefit ordinary citizens. “As January 16 approaches, Nigerians deserve clear answers about how fuel, electricity, food and transportation would be made affordable. The APC and President Tinubu clearly do not have answers. It is for the same reason that Americans voted against the ruling Republican Party, and it is for the same reason that Nigerians should reject the ruling APC in January,” the party said. HE Rotimi Amaechi refused to step down for Tinubu during the 2022 APC primaries, and refused to work for his campaign or his government. Today, his reasons are painfully clear. Love him or hate him, very few Nigerian politicians have this level of conviction! #Atiku2027 #AtikuAmaechi #nigeriadecides2027

Serah tag the damn person Anybody that does that to you deserves to be shamed Many folks that Kiki with you are usually the ones behind the hate we see on socials They are envious of you my darling so you have no reason to hide them
I recently had a meeting with a couple of people, including some friends. At some point during the meeting someone whom I consider a friend, wanted to type something. I happened to be standing behind when I noticed the switch between Twitter accounts. What caught my attention was the account he was switching to. To my utter surprise, it was an account that regularly post outright falsehoods, spreads malicious narratives, lies, and engages in coordinated attacks against me. I honestly found this quite disturbing. The troll account actually even has more followers than his personal account. I would ordinarily have ignored something like this, but I am struggling with the urge to tag him and the troll account. Sometimes, the people behind lies and rumours are people you consider friends. Social media gives people the cover of anonymity to post envy and hate but no worries, God’s got you.
