Sick of our players being robbed for the Ballon D’or. First Salah, then. Virgil, now Araujo. When will it end

🚨 Jude Bellingham grabbing Trent Alexander-Arnold's shirt after Real Madrid played Liverpool is a moment that hits different. 👀🔥

Jamie Carragher on Jérémy Jacquet:
“It’s also to do with Virgil’s age, but it almost feels like Jacquet is the first centre-back who’s starting to look after Virgil rather than the other way around.
“Even though he’s only played eight Premier League games, I already feel he’s an upgrade on everybody else Virgil has played alongside.
“I know it’s early to say, but he really does look the part.
“Virgil was always going to need that at some stage where he just has to play his own game. He can’t look after a back four. He can’t look after a centre-back partner. I think we’re at that stage now with Van Dijk, still playing well, but he should just be left to play his own game.” 🇫🇷🔴

💬 𝗤𝗨𝗢𝗧𝗘𝗦 - Jamie Carragher on Trent Alexander-Arnold:
“At the moment, he’s third-choice right-back for Real Madrid. When you’re third choice at a club, they’re obviously wanting you to move on.
“I’d have him back. I think he made a big mistake leaving. But if something benefits Liverpool Football Club going forward, when you think of the problems Liverpool have at right-back.”
“Ronald Araújo has been fantastic, but we do have a problem in terms of the full-backs’ passing. We’ve definitely missed Trent’s creativity.”

Reasons I don't think we should sign Ronald Araujo permanently.
Before anyone comes for me, he's having a good season and I won't deny that. He's been a warrior for us.
But £55m is a LOT of money for a 27-year-old playing out of position.
We still need a natural RB who can defend and offer more going forward. Araujo is solid defensively, but his attacking game isn't exactly what we need from that position.
And at that price, we need to be sure we're getting the right long-term solution, not just rewarding a good loan spell.
I like Araujo, but £55m could be spent on a player who fits the role better.
If we sign him... Still fine 🙌

An impressive defensive showing in @LFC's victory over Brighton 🧱

You ignored the red flags, and now you’re seeing wonders. You set up a camera and start crying. What are we supposed to do? 😂💔
