What an outrageous tweet! This is the tweet of someone unfit to sit in Parliament. A pointless talentless grifting nonentity! Absolutely clueless
Pity the French did not show the same resolve in defending their sovereignty in June 1940.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
About 90,000–100,000 French soldiers were killed during the Battle of France (May–June 1940), when Germany invaded. Around 92,000 is the figure most commonly cited.

One of the most foolish thing I heard from a Brexiteer Tory neighbour day after EU Ref was his delighted comment Brexit would drive Poles back home, in front of my Eastern European born wife! Yes many did go back home much to Poland's gain & to UK's loss & are now dearly missed! – at Dunakiliti, Magyarország
History has been made in the heart of London's financial district as Bronek Masojada becomes the first person of Polish descent to be elected Lord Mayor of the City of London.
From his Polish family heritage to the leadership of one of Britain's most prestigious civic institutions, his remarkable journey reflects the enduring contribution of Poles to British life.
Congratulations!

Apparently, according to the DUP, the Windsor Framework was imposed on NI by the UK government, but Brexit is fine because it was voted for in the UK. Now is it me, or is that somewhat absurd? Meanwhile you aren’t allowed to mention Donaldson to the DUP?!? @BBCNolan

The state of this. DUP obstruct MoN from attending & then blame MoN. Do they think we're stupid!?!

Yesterday’s actions by Gavin Robinson & the DUP are driven by arrogance & supremacy.
The DUP’s internal leadership problems & divisions have left them in turmoil.
The days of domination & supremacy are over.
The days of treating nationalists as second-class citizens are over.
And there is no going back.
Sinn Féin will keep turning up every day & standing up for people.

Ok, so this is completely wrong from @TiceRichard . Making up obvious falsehoods about journalists is truly appalling. @declassifiedUK has broken a number of stories alleging UK complicity in the Gaza genocide. That’s not “antisemitic” that’s simply reporting you don’t like.
John Fitzpatrick retweeted
Richard, @TiceRichard you’re free to express your honestly held view; as am I.
However, freedom of expression isn’t unlimited. A libel court might take a different view of the false accusations of antisemitism you & @michaelgove have made against @declassifiedUK and the people (be they IYO journalists or activists ) who work there.

The reporters - and cameras - should walk away. This is horrible behaviour towards people doing a serious job. It is bullying. It is disgusting.

The comments by DUP leader Gavin Robinson today were arrogant and supremacist.
The DUP is consumed with their own internal leadership troubles and divisions. They are in turmoil.
The days of domination and supremacy are over.
The days of treating people like second class citizens are over.
There will be no going back.
Not now, and not ever.
I, as First Minister, will be at the Assembly on Monday morning, along with Sinn Féin’s Ministers, to continue our work.
We will keep showing up every day for people.

NEW from PBP:
Carroll: DUP will pocket the wage and wreck the work
People Before Profit MLA Gerry Carroll has responded to this evening’s statement from the DUP, about their continued engagement within the Executive.
Carroll said: "Strip away the bluster and the DUP's message is simple: they'll keep their wages and ministerial cars, and spend what's left of this mandate obstructing anything that might materially improve people's lives.”
“Gavin Robinson has admitted collapsing Stormont would hurt them at the ballot box. So instead his MLAs will sit on £67,200 a year – and over £105,000 for their ministers – and use the Petition of Concern to 'thwart' Assembly business.”
“If a nurse, care worker or classroom assistant announced they'd spend the next six months deliberately not doing their job, they'd be sacked. Yet the DUP expects a pay packet for it.”
"Look at their record before they even found this excuse. They used the Petition of Concern to block raising the age of criminal responsibility, so ten-year-olds can still be arrested and prosecuted - the lowest age in Europe. They've stalled the Good Jobs Bill for months and demanded the trade union rights be ripped out of it. They're lining up to obstruct the ban on conversion practices, which would protect young LGBTQ+ people from abuse. Let’s not forget this is also the party that blocked equal marriage with a Petition of Concern. Whether it’s children's rights, workers' rights or equal rights - they've opposed the lot.”
"What exactly is left to obstruct? Pay deals for public sector workers? Tackling climate change? Proper investment in our health service? Building desperately-needed social housing? From where people in West Belfast are standing, the DUP has been thwarting progress for years. They've just finally put it in writing.”
"Working-class people - nationalist, unionist and ‘other’ - are sick of being held hostage to this carve-up. They deserve representatives who turn up and fight for them - not politicians who take a fat pay packet to block their rights.”
John Fitzpatrick retweeted

An absolute disgrace. A political arrangement which allows a member of a single party to obstruct NI from attending meetings with the other devolved authorities & the UK PM is totally unacceptable. DUP seems intent on doing as much damage to NI as possible belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/…

Why are the DUP addicted to acts of self harm?
DUP confirms:
✖️No more joint FM / dFM engagements.
✖️Will block Michelle O’Neill attending any events as First Minister
✖️Blocked a meeting with President Connolly and with Prime Minister
✖️Will block FM from attending Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday
