Australia's aid transparency has come a long way. The next step, Matthew Morris argues on Devpolicy Blog, isn't more dashboards — it's DFAT publishing 2 spreadsheets: the full Tier 1 dataset & Tier 2 results data behind the aggregates. #AidTransparency

Out of lockup. ODA/foreign policy budget thread for those tracking. The govt is still basically holding foreign aid steady. ODA will be $5.209 billion for 2026-27, growing to $5.426 billion in 27-28. Drops to $5.326 billion the year after that, then $5.45 billion in 29-30 /1/

Small updates to Activity Locations:
-Required fields now marked with clear red dots
-Location descriptions display where you'd expect them, in both list and card views
- Long location names wrap instead of being cut off
- Cleaner modal headers and a subtler "Show more" style.

Activity Dates now all look consistent. Every date field shows a little calendar icon, so you can spot them at a glance. No more hunting for which field is a date. Tiny change, smoother flow.

In the face of ongoing global conflicts, the pursuit of justice & accountability remains paramount. It is equally vital that (int’l) legal & judicial processes are accessible to ALL victims & survivors. @asiajcoalition 'Toolkit on Justice Avenues' is NOW available in 9 languages.
⚔️ Diversifying aid flows = a double-edged sword. More resources, but tracking and accountability get tougher. Should #IATI adapt its transaction categories to better reflect this complexity?
