“Mi nombre es Elsa Sánchez de Oesterheld y soy la mujer de Héctor Germán Oesterheld, famoso en el mundo por haber escrito la historieta @ElEternauta_arg. En la época trágica de este país desaparecieron a mis cuatro hijas, mi marido, mis dos yernos, otro yerno que no conocí, y dos nietitos que estaban en la panza. Diez personas desaparecidas en mi familia. Pero prefiero recordar los años en los que fui feliz” en el libro biográfico Los Oesterheld de Fernanda Nicolini y Alicia Beltrami. Aquí en la foto, las cuatro hijas de Oesterheld, de entre 14 y 19 años, militaban en la Unión de Estudiantes Secundarios (igual que los chicos de La Noche de los Lápices). Desaparecidas. Todas. De 14 a 19 años tenían. Eso hizo la dictadura, matar y atormentar para eliminar una corriente de pensamiento e ideas acerca de un mundo mejor. Los gobierno militares de facto de esa época (en Latinoamérica) fueron financiados por la CIA de Estados Unidos mediante el Operativo Cóndor, para impedir el crecimiento de ideas socialistas en América Latina. The 2024 #NobelPrize laureates in chemistry Demis Hassabis and John Jumper have successfully utilised artificial intelligence to predict the structure of almost all known proteins. In 2020, Hassabis and Jumper presented an AI model called AlphaFold2. With its help, they have been able to predict the structure of virtually all the 200 million proteins that researchers have identified. Since their breakthrough, AlphaFold2 has been used by more than two million people from 190 countries. Among a myriad of scientific applications, researchers can now better understand antibiotic resistance and create images of enzymes that can decompose plastic.
