Friendly reminder that dating, like most other things, is a Marketplace, in which buyers and sellers meet and people (who essentially are products) are sorted based on their market value, i.e buyers determining what (or who) they’re willing to pay (for)

NYC (Brooklyn) A suspected drunk driver plowed into six people — including three children — during a Halloween event outside a Brooklyn NYPD precinct, cops and sources said.
The 56-year-old motorist lost control of his black sedan around 4 p.m. and mounted the curb — hitting the victims at the “Trunk or Treat” event outside the 83rd Precinct stationhouse on Knickerbocker Avenue near Bleecker Street in Bushwick, police said.
He also struck a private ambulance stationed outside for the event, authorities said. (Imagery via David Burns/@FD4D) @NYCEMSwatch @EMSPAC1 @FDNY @NYPDPC @NYPDnews @NYPDDCPI @NYPD83Pct @NYPD1stDep @BushwickDaily @NYCMayor
I’ve made the conscious decision to (basically) never order delivery food again unless under extraordinary circumstances. If I want the food I’m not gonna pay extra fees to the companies to make some 3rd worlder deliver it to me, I will always pick up myself.
NEW: Manhattan Residents enraged over delivery bikes flooding their street.
East Village neighbors spoke on 1st Avenue and East 11th Street on Thursday afternoon, saying their block has been taken over by parked delivery e-bikes.
Speakers said the street holds about 40 parked cars but roughly 400 e-bikes, and one resident said rats crawl in and out of the delivery bags. "Why are 400 e-bikes on this one block?" an organizer asked the crowd. Longtime resident Michael Anton said the bikes keep multiplying every time he steps outside.
