Mormons Respond To Attack By Continuing To Be Amazingly Kind To Everyone buff.ly/GFWYvmg

I understand and applaud President Trump’s desire to address this issue and to support HHS. HHS should release the new data that it has to support this claim. The preponderance of evidence shows that this is not the case. The concern is that women will be left with no options to manage pain in pregnancy. We must be compassionate to this problem.

I am monitoring the horrific reports out of Coeur d’Alene this evening. I urge local residents to follow recommendations of law enforcement. My prayers are with victims and first responders.

Multiple heroic firefighters were attacked today while responding to a fire in North Idaho. This is a heinous direct assault on our brave firefighters. I ask all Idahoans to pray for them and their families as we wait to learn more. Teresa and I are heartbroken.
As this situation is still developing, please stay clear from the area to allow law enforcement and firefighters to do their jobs.

let’s talk more about this since lots of you are incapable of thinking past “hurr durr the feds owning tons of land is bad.”
they claim this is about creating space for housing to help more americans own homes.
this is a lie.
most of these places are remote, wild, harsh climates. there’s very minimal infrastructure that could feasibly be developed there. let me be clear: this is largely inhospitable terrain.
if they actually wanted to support housing, there’s a million policy changes they could make in urban areas where the majority of people want to live. where jobs are. where you can pump water to. starting with the fact 10% of houses are currently vacant.
what this really is, is a desperate move to mask their failure to control the deficit through promised DOGE cuts. make no mistake, you and i aren’t suddenly going to get the opportunity to buy this land and build a home (not that you even could). this land is going straight to billionaires and corporations.
now, i understand how hearing “the fed owns tons of land” sounds bad, but what does that actually mean?
it means the public owns it. the land as it is now is already accessible to you. it’s wild and open and free for anyone to use. you don’t need to get permission. it’s not fenced off. you don’t need to pay an entrance fee. you can literally drive out and do just about whatever you want. it’s ALREADY yours.
so why on earth would anyone be okay with the government selling it off and removing our access just because it refuses to stop wasting our money elsewhere? there will be no wilderness people can exist in anymore not subjected to park rules, hours, fees, and owner’s permission. once this land is sold, it’s gone forever. inaccessible to every american now and in the future.
and let’s be so real, the money they get for it will just end up in the Middle East.

After sitting with our legal team to parse through the fine print of Apple's DMA announcement (that took a while), which is, at best vague and misleading, I wanted to share my thoughts.
While Apple has behaved badly for years, what they did yesterday represents a new low, even for them. See more info here: newsroom.spotify.com/2024-01…
