I’ve always said drafting hall of famers is bad
Nelson was a great Colt and a catastrophically bad draft pick.

How is it this easy!?!?!? Bengals gotta blow it up. If you don’t fire Zac after dropping to 3-3 then you’re telling the fans this is ok

The different @Bengals media personalities and how they talk about Dexter Lawrence @CharlieG__ - Dexter Lawrence reminds me of the drake and josh episode “really big shrimp”’ @JamesRapien - Bengals should trade for Jeffrey Simmons. Can you imagine him and Dexter Lawrence together? @ByJayMorrison - “Through his first 5 games with the Bengals, Lawrence has recorded 11 QB pressures when lined up directly over or next to the center. That's No. 1 in the entire NFL from those alignments. No other player has more than 6. @JakeLiscow - Bengals EPA per play when Dexter is on the field vs not is staggering (Insert data points here) @JoeGoodberry - Dexter looked good on Sunday but the tape looks even better. Dexter Lawrence film review live on my channel now @pauldehnerjr - New | Lawrence is a giant human but his impact is even greater. How he impacts the bengals both on and off the field (Unlocked and free for all)

As @JoeGoodberry and I discussed on the podcast today, when Tyler Boyd left we thought there was some upside to getting Ja'Marr Chase into the slot and moving him around a bit more. In the last 2 years though, the offense has been much less productive. Long breakdown follows: Let's start with the pass game. All of these stats include only Joe Burrow games from 2025-2026. On 184 plays when Chase is in the slot: -0.14 EPA/Play 44% success rate 4.9 yards/play 5.5 yard average depth of target On 508 plays where Chase is wide: +0.18 EPA/play 50.4% success rate 5.7 yards/play 8.2 yard aDoT So that's a difference of +0.32 EPA/play, +6.4% success rate straight up. If we remove the disaster plays (turnovers) from both datasets the EPA/play difference shrinks a bit to +0.19. The run game splits are bigger! Small sample size caveat may apply as it's 183 run snaps with Chase wide and just 59 in the slot. When he's split wide, excluding disaster plays (turnovers) the run game is +.07 EPA/play better and has a 48.1% success rate vs. 39% when Chase is in the slot. And you can see in the heat maps how much less they're pushing the ball deep and how different the effectiveness is in the wide vs. slot (109 snaps, 2nd in each set of pictures) passing plays.
