"A council failed to publicise a warning from the equalities watchdog that its policy of allowing males identifying as female to use a historic women’s bathing pond was likely to be “unlawful”, it has emerged.
The City of London Corporation was also criticised for not making clear to the public that since 2019, when it introduced its transgender admissions policy, it had not considered the women’s and men’s ponds on Hampstead Heath — the 800-acre green space it manages in north London — to be single-sex.
The developments have come to light days before the local authority is set to defend itself in the High Court against claims by the campaign group Sex Matters that its admissions policy breached equality laws."

My constituency MP seems to have gotten on the wrong bus between Arbroath and Broughty Ferry.
Today I was denied entry into the West Bank, alongside other parliamentary colleagues from across Europe as part of a @ProgIntl delegation.
We were held for 8 hours, interrogated and ultimately prevented from crossing the border.
I came to stand alongside Palestinians being attacked for harvesting olives on their own land. Instead, we were turned away, with no reason given.
More than ever, Palestinians are being subject to terror and violence by the IDF and illegal settlers. Increased blockades, demolitions and unthinkable violence have become the norm for Palestinians in the West Bank.
It is more important now than ever that we bear witness and show our solidarity.
But we were prevented from doing so.
I will continue to do everything I can to apply pressure on the Netanyahu government, and those responsible for the persecution and genocide of the Palestinian people.
