A little song I've been working on about #RankedChoiceVoting and #ProportionalRepresentation. Enjoy!

"The Fair Representation Act... would allow the United States to switch from single-member congressional districts to a system of #ProportionalRepresentation, which supporters say would make room for more than two viable parties."

What is life like at different levels of GDP per capita?
In this new chart I visualised it for 12 different dimensions.

This guy is a professional at pretending to be a dumbass.
Vance went to Yale. He knows how ranked choice voting works. He is trying to make it seem confusing when it isn't.
JD Vance on ranked choice voting: "I don't understand it. It seems to me that you have an election, the person who wins the most votes should win. That seems to be not what happens with ranked choice voting. The fact that it's so confusing to a person who pays pretty close attention to politics I think suggests we should do our elections in, like, the normal way."
Unfortunately, both the Democratic Party and the Republican Party are retreating from economic liberty and embracing state economic control. reason.com/2026/10/28/the-mi…

ALT This meme illustrates the changes in global trade partnerships between the United States and China from 2000 to 2020. It features two maps indicating countries with stronger trade ties to either nation, highlighting a critical perspective on trade restrictionism and its potential to harm international trade relations. Blue represents countries aligned with the U.S., while red denotes those allied with China. Areas lacking data are shown in gray. The message suggests that adopting restrictive trade practices may lead to unfavorable outcomes in trade conflicts.

When government owns the means of production... isn't that socialism?
Yes. Yes, it is.
The Trump administration now holds equity stakes in 40 private companies. And politicians on both sides of the aisle are planning to build on the precedent.

Some libertarians are talking about new starting a new party, the purpose of which is apparently to tell libertarians to vote Republican

If you’re calling a Nobel Prize winning economist “a midwit snake-oil salesman of the first order,” you might want to consider the possibility that you’re in the grip of ideological bias.
Hayek was a midwit snake-oil salesman of the first order. Put simply, the legally established negative liberty he champions permits the unequal ability of uncoerced individuals to achieve a very narrow and often unethically gained type of success in his ridiculously idealised 'market'. Then they monopolise market sectors and buy their way into power to exploit and coerce others. Result - the constant renewal and reproduction of the 1% revolving-door oligarchy. Tent cities getting bigger but GDP looks good and we've got AI! Hordes of unthinking wannabe strivers have been persuaded that this is the timeless moral and natural order of things.

Don't believe claims without evidence to back it.
Especially from government politicians!
The White House Council of Economic Advisers claims illegal immigrants cost taxpayers $166,716 each. Cato's @David_J_Bier says those estimates aren't credible. They have actually reduced federal, state, and local deficits by $1.7 trillion over 30 years.

Poll after poll shows most people do NOT feel represented by either the Democrats or Republicans. If you are one of those people, vote like you mean it! Vote Libertarian!
Election Day is next week, and many voters are worried about playing “spoiler” or choosing the lesser of two evils.
But not in Alaska, Maine, or the 14 cities and counties that will use ranked choice voting.
Here’s how RCV is improving the 2026 midterms ⬇️

"#ProportionalRepresentation... is receiving important energy and attention. ...[A] poll... suggests Americans are open to changing winner-take-all elections to ones where like-minded voters can elect candidates in proportion to their voting strength."
